  1. I have lived in Croxley for 18 years and today was by far and away the best community event I have ever seen, what a bloody fantastic day!
    Very, very well done!
    Cheers to you.

  2. Hi, just a note to say what an excellent afternoon and evening at Croxfest, the organisation was excellent and the music was terrific, we sincerely hope this becomes a regular event as we will definitely be regular visitors bringing a number of friends from different areas who couldn’t make yesterday.

  3. Thanks for organising a great day it must have been hard work but was thoroughly enjoyed by this member of the Croxley community.
My fav bands from yest were The Cautionairies, Flutatious and the Informers those mixed with folk like the Corrs and some jazz/soul would be perfect.

  4. Please please please do it again this trial run was a huge success – I am sure Croxley residents would be willing to make a small donation if it meant securing it for next year.

  5. Hi
Just wish to say thanks, for organising such a fantastic day.
Some great bands, especially the local ones-The Informers & Jelly Fiends.
It was great that the whole community turned out- bumped into so many old friends, some I’d not seen, for a number of years.
Good luck for next year .
    Regards

  6. What a brilliant day. Fab organisation,
And loos that worked right until the end.
Thanks to everyone who put it together and put Croxley well and truly on the map. Can’t wait for next years event

  7. Fantastic – we could hear the music from our house, but it sounded so good we had to go down to the Green to see it in person. There is a wealth of talent in the area – we are rockers in our 60s we thought it was great. Hope to see Croxfest again next year, keep up the good work, well done !!!

  8. We had an absolutely brilliant time at Croxfest. The organisation was second to none and everything ran like clockwork. Everybody was really friendly too! I very much hope it happens again next year, we’d love to be involved again 🙂
    Best Wishes

  9. Fantastic afternoon please please again next year. The only thing I noticed was people did not come till later and it was a shame for the bands that played at the start perhaps later start and later finish!!

  10. Absolutely brilliant day. Thank you so much, I know how hard it was to organise so your hard work was very much appreciated

  11. What a fantastic event – thanks to all – we met friends we have’nt seen for while – the bands were great – enjoyed them all. We met Mark on the green on Thursday when he was pacing out the plan – we wear our Croxfest badges with pride – many thanks and very well done – look forward to next year.
NB the food was excellent – loos clean and plenty of them – and the sun shone on the green – want more can you ask for !
My friend who has a small child did wonder whether a bouncy castle might entertain the young ones as there were many families there .
thanks again – Sue (croxley greener)

  12. Had a Fab afternoon at the music festival. Took a picnic and watched the bands in the lovely sunshine. Hope we can have this music festival next year.Tracey Middleton

  13. Really great afternoon. Bands were really good. Nice to see so many people out enjoying the sun, several families and different generations mixing together. Can’t wait for next year.

  14. Came over from Bushey Heath for the last four hours of Croxfest with two residents with Learning Disabilities. The whole ambience of the fest was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The area was easy to navigate and it was really easy to explain to our residents where things were and what to do if we lost each other.
Please do it again next year!

  15. Need something for the children. We left after 5 minutes as the children were bored. Maybe a bouncy castle and a few rides????

  16. CroxFest 2011 was excellent. Absolutely brilliant event – totally loved it. Great mix of music genres covered.
Massive thanks to all the organisers for such a well run event. Well done to all the bands for such excellent entertainment – and a cheer for Big Stu who did a great job as MC for the day.
We knew there was no beer tent, so happily came prepared. I honestly don’t think a beer tent is needed at the next CroxFest – at Ricky Canal Festival there is always a queue 5 deep at the bar, and I’ve come across several unpleasant really drunk people in the music arena there. I think not having a beer tent limits how drunk folk can get – and keeps it a more family friendly event.
My only other comment is re. timing – it was quite early to get there in time for 12 noon – I think running 1pm-9pm or 2pm-10pm would be much better.

Once again many thanks to all the committee & sponsors for a fantastic day out – really look forward to CroxFest 2012 ;o)

  17. Many thanks to all the organizers and the bands as we had a great day. The children also loved it my 12 year old was there from start to finish with her friends!
Maybe next year a licensed bar for later in the day ?
We’re looking forward to the next one.

  18. Hi, I enjoyed the first Croxfest a great deal. It was certainly something I never expected to see in Croxley Green!
I did have a few thoughts about next years event (I’ve been promoting gigs around Herts and London for about 18 months now and have been attending festivals since 1997)
The ideas I did have are all pretty straightforward:
    1. A second stage – obviously there’s limited room on the green but I think a marquee with a 2nd (possibly acoustic) stage would be good. It works at the Canal Festival.
    2. More stalls – hopefully the popularity of the first event will encourage more stall holders at next years. It would be nice to see more variety – give the people something to do between sets and just as a way to be there without having to be too close to the music as it can get overwhelming.
    3. A beer tent – I’ll bet I’m the 100th person to suggest this!
    4. Capping the vendors food prices – I understand that times are hard and vendors need to make X amount of money but I’m not sure there’s any real justification for there to be so little for people to buy to eat under a fiver. If a cap was introduced I’m sure the vendors would sell more and make it worth their while… Croxfest may not be Glasto but there’s no reason that people that are a little on the skint side shouldn’t be able to have as good a time as anyone else.
    5. I’m not sure if there was one (I didn’t see it if there was) but some sort of program/running order – even if a small charge was made for it. If it was made with a little information/photos of the bands and suchlike it would make a nice souvenir as well as being useful to tell people who the bands are and at what time.
I hope these were useful. Great job again to all concerned.

  19. A very big thank you to all you volunteers for organising Croxfest yesterday. It was a wonderful event and bought the whole community together. Please please let it be on again next year!!!
    Many thanks,

  20. Great day……great organisation…..thanks……look forward to next year!!! Is there any chance of alcohol being available to buy???

  21. Just wanted to say that we really enjoyed this year’s event and would love to see it back again next year so we can invite some friends along.
Well done to everyone involved and thanks for all the hard work!
    Regards,

  22. Delighted it was a great success
any pics available of the event ?
give yourself a very well deserved
pat on the back .. Cheers
ps will it be a regular event ?

  23. Many thanks for giving us the opportunity to be a very small part of what was a hugely successful event. To say the event was slick would be an understatement.
Please count us in if you require sponsorship next year!
    Regards

  24. We had a fantastic time at Croxfest, was a pleasure to be involved! Let’s hope it happens again next year 🙂 Thanks for inviting us to play.

  25. Great family vibe, and so lovely to be able to walk up to the green. If you want street art for the kids at next years, you know where to come.

  26. Hi, my name is James and I was at Croxfest yesterday. Firstly, I would like to say that I had great fun at Croxfest and would like to thank everyone who helped put up the stage, everyone who helped/volunteered to sort where people would park; whether it was on the Green or opposite the Church, the people who very kindly volunteered to pick up any litter and last but certainly not least, the people who sold food and drinks. My favourite stall was the fudge stall and my favourite band was Flutatious, as they got everybody dancing..
I think it might be a good idea if people could people rent seats that say on the back CROXFEST. That way people rather than sitting on the ground or on a rug can sit comfortably on a seat. That is the only thing I can think to suggest as I really enjoyed myself for the whole day. Thanks again to everyone who helped make Croxfest a fantastic day.

  27. Hi there
A big thank you for a great day at Croxfest yesterday. My family and I had a great day, great music, children having fun and a great atmosphere.
My husband had long since said that he though the Green would be a perfect venue for a music concert and he wasn’t wrong. Well done to everyone involved and looking forward to next years Croxfest.
    Thanks again.

  28. I would like to thank all concerned for a fantastic day at Croxfest. One can imagine any number of reasons not to support this event and not bother, however it seems a far sighted decision was made. This was a wonderful community event and obviously a big hit with the folk of Croxley as they turned out in the thousands! I know that revenue is tight for everyone including local government but I rather like to think that such ventures are worth every single penny as they bring together and re-enforce our community and keep Croxley Green Special. I think people were both amazed and proud at the professionalism attained by the many volunteers.

  29. CroxFest rocked!
As a local i was chuffed we were blessed with our first music festival.
I was honoured and thrilled to be involved in CroxFest and feel everything about the day exceeded everyones expectations.
    Bravo and here’s to 2012!!

  30. Fabulous, really enjoyed the day and the great family atmosphere. As regular festival goer I would make two comments. Firstly it was absolutely the right decision not to have a beer tent. With 3 pubs in such close proximity & cool boxes allowed in it’s not exactly difficult to keep yourself beered up & it did discourage excessive drinking. Secondly, the water tap being right next to the gents urinal did mean there were small children playing around near the gents all day (not ideal) and a large soggy area of grass which I hope was run off from the taps not the loo ! ! if you know what I mean ! Croxfest 2012 pencilled in my diary already.

  31. Lovely day – Croxley at it’s best!!
Thanks to all those who worked so hard to organise a fantastic day for our community ………….. and the sun shone too!
    Looking forward to Croxfest 2012.

  32. What an absolutely brilliant festival. All the volunteers were happy, friendly and helpful – nothing was too much trouble. It was so well run and put together – great bands, great compere, and great atmosphere. A lovely setting with lovely weather. Facilities were very good. There probably could have been more stalls to encourage people to part with their cash. Can’t wait for its return (fingers crossed) in 2012.

  33. Had a great day on Saturday – tenek were amazing, as were all the bands we saw – and you didnt run out of loo roll – always a bonus and most unexpected! Looking forward to next year 😀

  34. What a fabulous event and so well run by volunteers. I was so happy to see so many children running around happily while their parents and grandparents, some quite elderly, sat on the Green enjoying the music. An event that really touched all ages. I would like to see my council tax contribute to events like this and would encourage TRDC to consider funding such an event next year. Well done to all involved and TRDC dig deep next year.

  35. This was a fabulous event which the whole family enjoyed. Thank you SO much for all the hard work – we really appreciated it.

  36. Croxfest rocked! Excellant bands, compere (slightly biased on that one!) and weather! Thai food was amazing and good price and loo’s good – me and Stu chuckled when there was an actually queue for the loo’s – a real festy!
Obvious suggestions – it could have gone on longer…but i understand the planning, red tape thing so fair enough. Actaully i wouln’t change a thing…it was great…if you could just make it sunny next year too….!
Oh and The Informers and The Jellies Rock….again slightly biased!
But loved the flautaious band and tenek too – will check them out and see where they are playing next!

  37. Fantastic first year. Great music, great line up, great atmosphere and can see it getting bigger and better. Perfect venue for all to attend. Well done to all the people and organisations who made it possible.
    Same again next year?

  38. Talk of Herts today 🙂 great show (and weather) lovely atmosphere good replacement for the old Rainbow Festival, need a Beer Tent for next year though lot’s were prepared and lot’s weren’t.

  39. Fab Brill Wicked!!! Fantastic bands….some who we know and love and a few new surprise ones that I’m now going to check out! Wicked compere (am slightly biased!) and fantastic weather all helped to make it a success! The Thai food was awesome and very good value and the security and organisation was top. Thumbs up from me!

  40. We all really enjoyed ourselves, it was fantastic! the music and the organisation of the event was beyond belief. the kindness & friendliness of all of the stewards and volunteers, it really made our day enjoyable.

  41. Was a fantastic event and thank you to all who came and who was involved! LOVED IT! oh yeah and all the bands were absolutely brilliant! Going to put the pictures up now!

  42. Absolutely brilliant day, would love for it to happen again next year. Please, Please, Please invite Tenek back again…. they were Awesome.
Perhaps a beer tent next year? And a few more stalls, maybe selling local produce?
All in All though best music event I’ve been to in ages x x x x

  43. All the years I lived in Croxley & there was never anything this good!
What a fantastic day, bands, organisation, security brilliant. Never a hint of any idiots ruining it, lots of fun for all ages, great mix of bands to suit most tastes.
Im sure the grocers at the “top shops” Baldwins Lane loved it to, lol!
So, thanks to all involved in putting big smiles on lots of faces, lets do it again next year 🙂

  44. We had a fantastic day! Great bands, brilliant weather, fantastic atmosphere. What more could you ask for. I was pleasantly surprised at the turn out too, there were a lot more people there than what I expected. Please, please, please do it again next year.

  45. As one of the committee members for Croxfest 2011 – I just have to say a big thank you to everyone who has left feedback so far. It is quite over whelming to see the positive repsonses and feedback we have received from people. All our hard work (and sometimes frustration) at trying to organise this event, in my opinion, was totally worth it.Thank you so so much to all the other volunteers involved and to each and every visitor who came out and supported the event.

  46. Travelled from Yorkshire specially to be there. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. I personally dont think it needs a beer tent or more stalls. These events have a habit of growing too big & becoming too expensive to attend. A picnic & our own drinks were all we needed as we were there to listen to the music & support the bands, who we thought all played brilliantly. We are hoping to make this an annual jaunt. Well done to all involved.

  47. Had a great day at Croxfest, with friends and family. Please lets make this a yearly event. A well done to all of those that organised it.
Maybe a beer tent next year?

  48. We had a great day at Croxfest!! It was really well organised, the atmosphere was very safe and friendly for all the family!! A fab day was had by all, we hope it will happen next year!!

  49. Definatly needs to happen again. It was a great day. Many thanks for everyones hard work it was well worth it. See you in next September!!

  50. Just wanted to drop a line to say what a great day we had a croxfest. I really enjoyed the bands and it was a great social day for the local community.
I have lived in this part of the world for about 35 years and I have to say it knocked spots off the revels (god bless it!).
A great mix of music and ages and even more pleasing was that there was a lot of local talent.
Please don’t let this be a one off…
Croxley needs something like this, and I think In general it was a well attended well behaved event.
    Thats my two pence.
    heres to croxfest – 2012

  51. Will you please pass on our appreciation to everyone who worked so hard to make Saturday’s Croxfest such a success. The family atmosphere was amazing and the music wasn’t bad either! The weather really helped but the number of people attending was phenomenal and we are sure it exceeded even your wildest expectations. Everyone involved should be congratulated on such a professional job well done, so please pass on our comments to them. We hope we can enjoy another Croxfest next year with the help of Parish Council funding and sponsorship, and in these times of cut backs, this free entertainment gives everyone a lift.
We do hope the two charities The Peace Hospice and Help for Heroes, were well supported and for the festival to be broadcast live by the local radio station has surely put Croxley Green well and truly on the map.

  52. Fantastic day had by all, amazing family atmosphere for all ages, great music, great food, great weather well worth all the hard work I hope, well done everyone who arranged this great event. We dont need a beer tent with 3 great pubs on the Green but we do need another Croxfest next year please and can Eleventh Hour have a later time slot next time.

  53. Had a great time thanks. Think the lack of a beer tent is a good thing, keeps it more family based. People can take their own. A wider music genre base maybe next year. But it was brilliant, fabulous job guys x

  54. Hi Guys
Just wanted to send a massive thank you and congratulations to you all for an amazing day – whoever sorted the weather did a brilliant job as well! It was lovely to see so many families coming along, which was something I hadn’t expected.
My team had a great day and really hope that this will be the start of something big – it will be so much easier to promote next year
Will let you know the total as soon as we finish counting.

  55. Well done on the organisation as well, I came up with the family and was very impressed and proud that our company was associated with such a fantastically organised event.

  56. A great event and top marks for the organisers and all the bands. I agree with a couple of the other comments that some more laid back, less frenetic sounds would have gone down well during the afternoon sunshine (though I wouldn’t go as far as soft jazz or classical which need different kinds of venue surely?). Next year – more diverse catering, maybe a cafe tent? maybe a kids zone?

  57. What an amazing time had by all, we all had a lovely time and what a wonderful atmosphere. Well done to all the people who organised it, I am glad the sun shone for you.
Can’t wait until next year, maybe we could have an extension until 10pm as the funfair is able to stay open until then!
    “Such Fun”

  58. Big thanks to all at Croxfest from Flutatious, excellent soundcrew, excellent stage set up and we were really well treated by all the orginisors and crew and smiling security, a rare thing at festivals. We really enjoyed the show and big thanks to the audience for making us very welcome. We are pleased it was a great success, our local area needs somewhere to showcase local talent and there seems to be plenty of it. We hope you can make it an annual festival. The only advice i would give is try and get it to run a little later, understandable that it is hard to get a licence for loud events so big respect for making it happen….

  59. Fabulous day!!!! Well organised and very smoothly run. Please Please Please do it again next year!!!!!!!! The bands were great! Nice weather, nice location too.

  60. Really enjoyed Croxfest, great facilities, bands and the Italian Kitchens food was delicious, best looking food stall I’ve ever seen! Perhaps more trade stalls for next year and some activities for kids but all in all a brilliant day, well done!

  61. Absolutely brilliant day. Thoroughly enjoyed it as did my children. I think it’s a great to advocate music to the younger generation, especially giving that there is a significant percentage required to get into secondary schools. I feel this festival provided just that

  62. Dear Mark
Thanks very much for you and fellow volunteers for giving your time and expertise in organizing a super well run and enjoyable event. I very much appreciate the effort involved in bringing the concert idea through to fruition. I wonder how you even arranged good weather? Rock and Roll on the next years event please, if possible.

  63. Great event. Well organised and thoroughly enjoyable. Very considerate ammenities (parking, stewarding, etc). Family friendly atmosphere. Good sound. Thank you very, very much.
    Suggestions for next time:
Sui Lok: Stalls selling craft based stuff (jewellery, clothing, etc.)
Bruce HenmanLok (aged 10): Childrens play area.
Geoff Henman: Opportunities to buy Cds of groups playing (Tenek had sorted this out but my wife wanted a CD of another group), Get Tenek to play again next year!!!!
    Thanks again.

  64. Croxfest not ‘keeping Croxley Special’

I live at the NW corner of Manor Way, not too far from Little Green School. On Saturday 4th September from from the middle of the morning I was subjected to an incredibly loud egotist shouting over a cacophony of sound apparently coming from the Green. It was so loud I had to retreat from the garden and finally into the house. I closed all windows and doors and pulled some of the curtains but the noise was still loud enough to prevent me reading and by 3.30 pm I had an excruciating headache and was crying in pain.

I considered calling the police but doubted they would come.

It was a little less loud from 4 pm but the damage was done. My head is badly aching, and my eyes are still watering [Monday am]. My body is not quite so screwed up in pain as it was but it is still tense.

Clearly there was something wrong with the sound system. Instead of the noise hitting the ground where those who wanted it were, it was going over their heads, and someone suggested it was hitting some metal sheds and rebounding at double volume.

Should there be a ‘next year’ – God forbid – perhaps more attention could be given to the acoustics and noise control so it reaches those who want it and not those who don`t.

It has been suggested I should leave my home for the duration of the noise. No way! What a selfish suggestion!

I do not think this sort of activity is a suitable use for The Green nor do I think it is a suitable use for my taxes – apparently, too, it cost twice the original estimate.

  65. I seriously think the previous poster has a medical condition if his eyes were watering on Monday ..I think it was a little loud at times but come on…..

  66. Fantastic family event even though we didn’t get there til near the end. My kids, although not their kind of music, loved dancing around to The Informers which is my kind of music. The kids also love the glow sticks but then don’t all kids??
I’m ready to support this event again next year, weather permitting. Yes laugh at me if you so wish but I’m not a hardened festival goer 🙂

  67. I just wanted to say what a fantastic time we all had on Saturday, it way exceeded our expectations! The music was brilliant, something for all ages. We are extremely lucky to live here with such wonderful family events on our doorstep, keep up the good work! Please please please can we have another one next year?
We would be more than happy to help out if needed.
Thanks again for a fantastic evening.

  68. I was at croxfest most of the day, and yes we were blessed with a day of beautiful sunshine but the whole day was absolutely amazing. The bands were all good and I particularly enjoyed Flutatious who were so very different and floaty and a special delight, would love them to be there next year; and the last band of the night I don’t know their name but I am sure you do.
The whole day went very well from what I could see from my space in the green!!!!!!
There was a lot of volunteers and by the time I left I couldn’t see any rubbish on the green anywhere, even though I must say not everybody was as concious as we were as we took our own rubbish to the many bins provided. I really hope there is going to be another croxfest next year as I found it an amazing way to finish the summer hols, and it is so very local. Thank you once again to the organisers and volunteers for a fabulous day.
    Party on Croxley!!!!!!!!!!!

  69. Hi to all the bands & people that helped/volunteered to make Croxfest such a lovely day roll on next year
Thank you thank you thank you

  70. Thought CroxFest was amazing, so glad the effort was made to bring this small festival to Croxley! Really loved it, the last band was especially good. Really hope to see it return next year.
As I’m sure everyone will have said, a bar amongst the stalls would have been great – and probably you could have made a lot of profits on it too. Would also like to see more children friendly bands in the early afternoon that digresses into adult-style stuff. Face-painting for kids would be good too.

  71. Really enjoyed! Would like some happier music, as some of it wasn’t very sing-a-long, but I realise it might just be me that feels like this haha! Hope for the return of Croxfest next year – it was such a friendly atmosphere! 🙂

  72. Just wanted to say thank you for organising Croxfest! What a brilliant success! We came away from the event on such a high, already looking forward to next year. I feel so lucky to live in Croxley and to have an event like this organised for local people was truly amazing. Seeing all our friends up on the Green with their families, chilling out and enjoying the music was lovely. The atmosphere was great and it felt like a real sense of community bumping in to so many people that we rarely see with busy lives. We enjoyed all the bands, but I have to say The Informers was a wonderfully nostaligic trip down memory lane, playing the covers from our era. Can’t wait until next year…we will be there, Rain or Shine.

  73. It was great to see this new event happening on “our” green. I was impressed by the quality of the food outlets etc and by the marshalling and ever present litter clearers.
I have a suggestion to make for an aticipated “next time”. For the hour or so I attended, the music was not to my taste and, although your website gave details of the bands and their types of music, I didn’t see anywhere an indication of the programme. Perhaps for next time you could produce leaflets, posters etc and put on the website a programme showing the times at which each band will be playing and a brief indication of their musical genre. People would then be able to time their visits to coincide with the playing of music they know they will enjoy. That might make the event even more successful !!

  74. We had such an amazing afternoon. The event was so well organised and it was free!!! We thought the bands were great and somehow perfect weather materialised. The loos were clean and plentiful. Security was friendly and efficient. Next year can we have a beer tent and the same good weather please? My son was at the front by the stage clinging to the gate railings bobbing along excitedly to the music for ages and he is only 1.5 years old! Thanks and congrats on a good effort. See you next year.

  75. I hated it.
The noise was extremely loud and despite having doors and windows closed I could still hear it.
It was reverberating all round the house. I live in Grove Crescent, and I know others from different streets found the noise intolerable.
I’m all for getting things for the village to do, but please bear in mind that not everybody likes, or can listen to the same (volume of) noise!

  76. We had a fabulous day. Thank you and well done the all event appeared to run very smoothly and professionally we look forward to coming back next year with many more friends and family.
Highly recommended day! Many thanks again to all involved.

  77. Thank you so much for an excellent event. It was a very brave initiative that was organised superbly. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed and friendly. Many thanks to all who worked so hard to plan and run the CroxFest.

  78. Great day – thank you. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere with all ages seeming to enjoy themselves, behaving and keeping the place tidy – just a few weeks after the riots elsewhere. Some sympathy with the immediate neighbours though – live with it for one afternoon / early evening a year?
    Some thoughts:
More varied programme? Two stages to allow for better continuity? Don’t let it get too big / commercialised / drink-sodden. Order the same weather next year……
Thanks again to all who organised, ran, and performed.

  79. Thanks for a great day. It felt like a festival. The atmosphere was lovely, with families and neighbours bumping into each other and hanging out, sharing picnics, kids playing together. The bands were nicely varied and all struck the right tone for the day – especially the headline act, who could get a party going in a tax office and sent the crowd home happy and proud of Croxley Green.
I only have a few suggestions: Don’t change much. Concede as little as possible to the complainers – the sound did fill the village a bit but it’s only one day. And most of us will be up on the Green anyway, enjoying ourselves with the rest of the community.
Try to promote it a bit more, next time. The gazebo idea is a good one but I didn’t know about it until I got up there. The follow-on shows at the sports club and the Sportsman really helped the music festival feeling but, again, I didn’t know about them before the night.
Congratulations to the council for having the courage to support the event – they really proved that they’re serving the community. And well done to the organisers for a great idea and a great event.

  80. MOVE OVER GLASTONBURY – HERE COMES THE CROXFEST!
Had a fantastic lazy afternoon listening to the music and having the odd glass of wine – what a nice way to spend a Saturday! Thanks for all the hard work that went into organising this.

  81. We all really enjoyed ourselves, it was fantastic! the music and the organisation of the event was beyond belief. the kindness & friendliness of all of the stewards and volunteers, it really made our day enjoyable.

  82. I went to Croxfest not really knowing what to expect, but was not disappointed at all. Infact, I thought it was great. The Green lends itself to this sort of event and was pleased to see a cross section of people attending, from young children to OAP’s! The atmosphere was great, as were the bands and I watched everyone meeting up with friends and familiar faces alike. The event itself was very well run and clearly well attended. Well done to the event organisors for a very successful festival.

  83. The alalling noise of “musicians” who cannot play, and “vocalists” who cannot sing, is just as loud as last year. Your “promises” about control of noise were hollow. This event is on The Green – keep the noise on The Green.

  84. What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon and evening. Croxley green puts Watford and Ricky to shame so much happens in a small village hopefully the same next year. All the bands were good. Many thanks to all envolved

  85. enjoyed most of the music and great weather. However disappointed that the food stalls were not local businesses like last year so I did not buy anything. In my opinion croxfest should rethink who is allowed to sell food next year and keep it local

  86. the music was good but it was all rock and not enough pop music and the sound was too loud.. kinda death now;D but overall an amazing day

  87. Fantastic day! I enjoyed the music, particularly the latter bands, but the best bit was the community atmosphere – as someone that lives on The Green it was great to see the space used by so many young families and local residents.
Thanks to all the helpers for their hard work – long may it continue.
I think a £2-3 charge for car parking would help contribute to running costs as would more collection buckets.

  88. A fantastic day of music and sunshine with friends. Amazing village turnout and Flutatious were the perfect headline act.
I’d like to see more non-rock bands next year such as pop, folk and a little hip-hop to make it more diverse.
Great to see so many local businesses showing their support + thanks to all the volunteers.

  89. Had a fantastic afternoon at croxfest, so nive to see all the croxley residents having fun and enjoying the great music. Hope it carries on for years to come.

  90. You guys are soo good at organsing these things, you even sorted the weather. Another fantastic, fantastic day and a show case of “Our Green” and the community coming together. If the Parish Council needs a nudge … then that was well and truly it! Mark and the army of volunteers …. take a very big bow … you deserve it!

  91. Out first time at Croxfest, was not aware it existed until i saw freinds posting on Facebook.
Really enjoyed the day, helped by the fab weather.
DJ tent required with local DJ’s. Could probably do with more loos as well over the other side of The field.
Will definitely come again next year, rally some friends together to make it a even more memorable day. This event is destined to grow…

  92. Flutatious were amazing again! Caution Horses were another band that we really enjoyed. have to say that the toilets were really good too. Thanks for putting on another really great croxfest

  93. Loved it! A great event, good weather, thousands of local residents having a good time (all ages) and a fantastic feel-good atmosphere. A big thank you to the organising team for making it all happen. I guess those collecting for the good causes had a very good day too! Can’t wait for Croxfest 2013.

  94. What a brilliant day!
    Bands were great.
Good facilities-lots for kids to do!
    Great venue.
    Good parking.
    Wonderful host-Big Stu
    Brilliant weather

  95. What a fantastic day !!
Great bands, great weather, and very well organised.
Thanks to the organisers, sponsors, and all the others – security and medical, who gave up their time to make this event happen, The local council should be very grateful that they have these people working so hard, for free, to make the event a success, and to provide a celebratory day out for thousands of people, young and old, almost all of whom left the Green with smiles on their faces.
This is exactly the type of local event which helps to lift the spirits, especially in the tough times we are going through, and it’s difficult to put a price on that
Thanks again, and I really look forward to Croxfest next year. If the funding isn’t forthcoming, then shame on the council.

  96. great bands, great location, great organisation, great atmosphere, thanks to everyone involved, looking forward to next year already

  97. We have only just moved back to the area and really didn’t know what to expect or anyone however we had a lovely day and bumped into people we knew from years gone by which was a lovely way to welcome us to Croxley. My friends hired Wired for their wedding in Kent about 4 years ago so I knew the standard of bands would be good and there was something for everyone.
I am sorry for those who do not wish to take part or listen to the music but I hope the sense of community will become apparent to them and they will forgive an event which ends at 8pm!

  98. An absolutely brilliant day.. Was great to see how the audience had grown from last year’s Croxfest so quickly! Would’ve been better to seen some REALLY local catering establishments instead. But fantastic organisation from all involved & looking forward to next year. MORE Simply Vintage & less Caution Horses for me please 🙂 x

  99. Loved it! Great organisation, bands, MC, atmosphere and fantastic weather for the second year running! Great to see most of croxley out there and all having a good time, really good event for all ages and a great way to use the green!

  100. What. A. Day.
    Fantastic. Just fantastic!
Glorious weather, excellent music, lovely atmosphere – what more could you want? Well perhaps a beer tent 😉
Got the sunburn and happy memories of Croxfest.

  101. Just like to say a big thank you to everyone involved for making this a fantastic croxfest, and also the great bands, you even managed to sort out the weather.
Looking forward to next year already.

  102. My only regret was why on earth didn’t I go last year as well?! Awesome day shared with my friends and the rest of the community that I am so grateful to be a part of, on our wonderful green that none of us probably use enough. Thank you so much to all involved, Croxfest was organised and delivered to perfection – please keep it running.

  103. Had a great day on the Green, weather helped but would have been a great day anyway. Enjoyed all the bands, especially Wired and it was good to see a young local band being given a chance to open the festival. Email sent to council re continued funding. Thank you to all the organisers and volunteers for a superbly run day. See you all next year!

  104. Had a great time up on the Green with all my friends yesterday. Great weather, fab atmosphere, loved the music. Big thank you to everyone that helped to put on Croxfest and made it happen. Looking forward to Croxfest 2013!

  105. To Phil, I now know why this country is in such a state. The reason is selfish small minded people like you. 1 DAY A YEAR, thats it. After that its back to you…..

  106. Exhausted but thrilled!
After CroxFest’s maiden outing last year the standard had been set high.
Could 2012 be as good? Well it exceeded everyone’s expectations!
Mother nature played her part. Thank you.
More importantly was the army of volunteers, helpers, security, noise monitors, stewards, event organisers, web designers, printers, stage crew and if course the bands who all dedicated their FREE time to put on this FREE event for the people of Croxley & the surrounding areas.
I spoke to people that travelled miles to come back and visit their original home town to support the event.
Being a Croxley man, it was so nice to see so many familiar faces coming together with family and friends to make a day of it. Kids dancing with the adults, friends dancing with strangers, the whole day had the most amazing feel good factor.
A huge thank you to ALL the sponsers. Without them, this event just simply would not take place.
Make sure YOU show your support to the Croxley Green Parish Council for future funding.
I for one feel CroxFest deserves to be an annual event for many many years to come.
And if you want to join in next year, put your name down to help volunteer!
    Fingers crossed for 2013!!
    Big Stu

  107. Even better than last year. Had a fantastic day. A great selection of bands, great food and great atmosphere.
I think that next year we could have merchandise, such as tee shirts, a programme, wrist bands, CDs of the performers available and we could actually make money for future events. I would happily put money into collection buckets if they were passed round and the people that I have spoken to feel the same.
Big thanks to all who helped put on an amazing day.

  108. Second year and as good as the first, only complaint is the eight oclock finish,If the fairs go on until 10pm and the fireworks go off at midnight on new years eve why cant the music play longer.

  109. My four-year old daughter watched Caution Horses and said “I want to do that, I want to do the singing.” Inspirational. A really friendly event on a lovely day. Maybe you need lollipop ladies/men for the main road. Minor point but that is probably the only negative thing I can say about a brilliant family day. Thank you all very much.

  110. A well organised, fun and family friendly day out. Well done to everyone involved in bringing this event to Croxley. Roll on next year!!

  111. What a top day!! Even better than last year – Croxley Rocks!! A big well done to all involved in making it happen. Some great bands and a good mix of music. A great family atmosphere, we had friends come and everyone loved it. Roll on 2013 – can we book the weather now?

  112. Had a brilliant time at my first crox fest!!! Bands were a good variety! Wasnt too fond of the last band as they didn’t sing! Surprise alcohol was not on sale but good choice of food !! Weather mad the day even better Great day!

  113. Thank you again Croxfest for another amazing gig, wonderful crew and set up all round and cheers to Big Stu for the wonderful intro and to the great audience for making us feel so welcome. It is great to see so many people supporting local music, we wish you continued success and hope the council continue to support you with the festival, oh, we must also thank the lady behind the stage for the delicious lasagne, superb……

  114. Fantastic day, great to see everyone on the green having such a good time! All of the bands were excellent crowd pleasers. Would be wonderful to do it again next year! Thanks to all that organised and sponsored it, superb job!

  115. Brilliant day out on the Green. Fingers crossed the grumpies don’t spoil it for next year. They just need to chill a little and get a life. No one is going to die of a little music are they?

  116. Another fantastic day on the Green enjoying Croxfest. Was a little worried that last year’s excellent day might not be matched, being the 1st one, but this year was just as fantastic.
Great bands, great people, great setting & great weather what more could you ask for.
Big thanks to all who organised this splendid event, & especially to all who volunteered to help the day go smoothly too 🙂

  117. Wonderful day for the community, as it brought families and friends of the village and surrounding areas together. The organisation was well thought through and everyone was in good spirits. Something for everyone.
Can it go on later next year to get more bands playing?

  118. wow – what a brilliant day! Great day for the local community to enjoy. Well done to the organisors , all the volunteers, people who sponsored the day and the support from the Parish Council. Looking forward to Croxfest 2013!

  119. Missed last years Croxfest due to a conflicting commitment, so was not sure what to expect.
But – WOW! – brilliant afternoon/evening of a whole mix of great music and fun for all the family.
Weather was fantastic and it was just so good to see the Green being used, appreciated and enjoyed by thousands of families – happy smiling faces all round.
My thanks to the Organisers, the Sponsors, the Bands, the Parish Council (thank you – please keep doing what you are doing!), the Croxley residents and the wonderful Volunteers who not only supported during the day itself, but the hard core group who were clearing the Green the next day so that by midday on Sunday it was spotless!
Looking forward to next year already.

  120. A great afternoon of varied music, in the sun with hundreds of likeminded individuals and families. Agree with the comment below about how good it was to see “The Green” being used for a fantastic piece of community entertainment for young and old alike !!!
Thanks to all who made it happen

  121. We thought it was excellent and would love it to become a regular village fixture in the calendar. As it gets bigger, Croxfest should be able to attract even bigger bands if it gets a name for itself. Just one thought (not criticism) about the running order – the “covers” bands were better received than the original material bands particularly later in the day/evening. Something like a decent Queen tribute band to finish Croxfest would have got everything singing and dancing into the night. Just a thought. Cheers to everyone involved.

  122. Croxfest was absolutely fantastic! I loved every minute of it! I want to thank everyone involved in organising it as it went so well, the bands were fantastic and to all the people who came to support the event. I have being some photography for the event for the last 2 years and it has given me some fantastic experience and am really happy as I am registered visually impaired and a lot of people don’t get to live their dreams so I thank them very much for letting me help them out! Also I have to thank the parish council as without them it wouldn’t happen!
If you would like to dee my photos from the event they live here http://www.flickr.com/photos/mandyclarkie/

  123. Absolutely brilliant! My only complaint is that it finished too early…huge thanks to everyone that helped to put on such a great event. P.S maybe people who can’t cope with noise could go out for the evening..just an idea 😉

  124. Perfect! Well done and thanks to Mark, Big Stu and the rest of the team(s), we think there should be a Croxfest every year!

  125. What a terrific atmosphere we enjoyed at Croxfest. This is a great family event that brings our community together. We appreciated the variety of food stalls that catered to everyone. I look forward to Croxfest next year.

  126. Top day, only possible due to the effort put in by many committed people….and don’t forget to support the local sponsors who helped to bring it to fruition!

  127. Had a fab time, Thank you everyone xx Maybe Phil should make alternative plans next year, go off and be misserable somewhere else

  128. Had a fantastic day ! Everyone was in a great mood.Food was lovely especially the Mexican.Seeing all the kids running around haveing the time of their lives was priceless.
Only complaint was order of the bands as I thought last 2 bands should have swapped

  129. Great festival, well orginised, too many cover bands though for my taste, can see that at weddings and pubs but it seems the people like that so fair enough, loved Flutatious, proper festival band, liked Caution Horses. Hope you keep getting the support, you deserve it…..

  130. What a fantastic day! Thankyou so much to the organising committee for all their hard work. It was such a great event for our community to share. Bring on Croxfest 2013! I agree with others, 8pm a little early for us too, 10pm would be great.

  131. Loved every minute of it! The atmosphere was absolutely amazing and it was lovely to see everyone happy and making merry on such a glorious day! Roll on 2013!

  132. Fantastic day, great atmosphere, well organised, we had a great time and so did everyone else we know who went to the event. Hoping that Croxfest becomes a regular fixture!

  133. It was ok. not really much atmosphere. The bands seemed to be too disjointed with the bulk of the audience due to the location of the stage. For this reason the festival needs to be in a different location. The location is too narrow with a busy road next to it.
It starts far too early and finishes early. Even if it went from 13:00-21:00 it would be fine.
It might be nice to have some opera on the green or classical music.

  134. Absolutely brilliant! Well organised, trouble free, family orientated event! Hopefully should become yearly as this year seemed more popular than last. People cleared up after themselves and showed true respect for the green. Bands great and the announcer of the day threw himself into the spirit of the day as were the band helpers! Long may it continue.

  135. Absolutely loved it. Great day all round — fantastic stage crew, great sound system and most importantly a wonderful friendly atmosphere out in the crowd. Oh, and the weather was amazing! We were honoured to be on the bill and hope we entertained you 🙂

  136. Much improved from last year (which was also good) with the food stalls – and the sound seemed better too – keep it going its obviously going to get bigger and better! Bit later finish if poss?

  137. Our whole family enjoyed croxfest this year…we came to support the local bands and enjoy the glorious weather. Don’t know what we would do without croxfest, we have thoroughly enjoyed this year and last. It has an amazing atmosphere and everyone crowds in together to make the day even better. I truly hope that you are able to run Croxfest 2013 as we are looking forward to it already!!

  138. where do i start? lol! Absolutely loved Late Day Breakers amongst others! there was a good mix of music played and a really fab atmosphere all day! great choice of food available and a fantastic space to hold the event in! Could possibly have a little more entertainment aimed at the children (the bouncy castle was for the really little ones) maybe get some more local businesses involved? oh and maybe cut the grass on the “car park” ;-)The running of the event was great and i would love to see more events like this….. a huge thank you and well done to all that helped make this happen! i’ll be coming back next year with a lot more friends!!!

  139. Croxfest year after year never fails to deliver a fun filled day for all the family to enjoy. It is part of annual rituals. Croxley’s event of the year. Love it!

  140. Great turnout for a lovely event ! Thinking of getting a posse together for next year ! Might even try to get my band on the list !

  141. Great event overall. Very, very Croxley. Good natured and respectful crowd of all ages enjoying themselves. The good weather has been a massive boon both years. If held again and the weather turned out to be bad then hopefully the obvious success of the first two years will be remembered. Great mixture of bands who have all risen to the occasion. Only criticism is that Flutatious, who were my favourite band both years, don’t come across as a headlining act in my opinion. Organisation behind the scenes cannot be faulted from an attendee’s point of view and the volunteers are absolutely brilliant. I personally think the finish time is about right on balance for the Croxfesters, local residents and any police concerns. This type of event is an ideal opportunity for those who live in Croxley, have lived in Croxley, like Croxley, have friends in Croxley, or are just passing through and are enticed in, to get together. Croxfest is a great showcase for the area and makes wonderful use of one of the villages best assets. Hope CGPC allocate the funding for future events as it would be a shame if this annual event ceased to be just as it is getting going.

  142. For the 2nd year in a row we were blessed with the best day of summer! A fantastic day out again, great bands, great compare (well he is my little brother so I have to say that!) great organisation and a great vibe! Talking of Vibe (Radio) heard a few comments about them whilst chatting….people did not like the “chart pop” they were playing in between bands. a) it didnt reflect any of the bands and b) it was repetitive. It would perhaps have been better to play a variety of songs from different genres and eras as the point of Croxfest is its a family day therefore grabbing audiences from a wide range of ages. There’s only so much Dizzy Rascal anyone can take!
As the event has grown slightly from last year then it goes without saying, the headache f any festival, more loo’s please! Queuing on the Green was slightly surreal!
But thats it…the only 2 points! It was yet again a brilliant day out! Thank you! 🙂

  143. Great day , great music, great company , great family atmosphere enjoyed last year but this year but this year was much much better. See you next year.

  144. a fab fest.Excellent organisation, great sound equipment, the bands even ran to time !! Car parking well organised .A good community get together gfor all ages.
Loved the Late Day Breakers, nice to hear original music not just covers.
Perhaps a few local charity run stalls providing more choice of food and simple stalls for the kids would make a great fest even better.
Im sure £2 a car could be charged for parking to raise a little money for the event without anyone getting upset.

  145. Had the most fantastic day at Croxfest! so looking forward to doing it again next year – It was such a well organised family friendly event with great bands! Many thanks to those who organised it!

  146. Better Atmosphere than year one which was fantastic in its own rights!!! Going from Strength to Strength. Brilliant Family Day Out–Fun had by all..
    Bring on Croxfest 2013

  147. A great day, enjoyed by everyone on the All Saints’ Church stall. A really good atmosphere, friendly and relaxed, good music and a wonderful community event. We feel honoured to have been chosen to be one of the Croxfest charities for 2012. We raised £889.93 which will go towards the hall kitchen project. Many thanks to everyone who contributed, the organisers and all the sponsors.

  148. great day… went with a group of friends and stayed for the full day! beautiful weather… well worth the planning! well done everyone!

  149. What a great day. Thanks and congratulations to all who organised it. And well done to the council for supporting it – a real service to the community. Next year I think we’ll turn up with a gazebo and settle in for the day.

  150. What a fantastic day! As part of the medical team with Event First Aid Services we all had an absolutely brilliant day, lots of fun and laughs, and plenty of glorious sunshine! Cant wait to be part of Croxfest 2013 next year!

  151. What a great day. Great music and a fantastic atmosphere. Can’t wait until Croxfest 2013! Well done to everyone involved, it is an event to be really proud of having in Croxley.

  152. Here’s my view: I thought Croxfest was amazing. Brilliant bands, excellent weather, thousands of people of all denominations enjoying the day – what’s not to like? Being the drum-tech was awesome too- great fun and I got to meet some really cool people backstage. Sure, we’ll have our detractors, and they’re allowed their say: buy there’s no doubt that vastly more people enjoyed it than didn’t. (I was told that the music was quieter this year too- see, we do listen to complaints!)

  153. It was great having somewhere cool to go, i came to see late day breakers but enjoyed all the bands. it was great for all ages (im 11) and want to come next year. thanks everyone for putting on this event

  154. A really well put together event, someone said to me the community feel to the event has taken over from the revels, what with ever decreasing procession. It would be great, although I understand cost is an issue, to have screens further back. Only one negative would be parking, I live at Copthorne Cottages and normally that part of the green isn’t used for parking, so maybe next year that could be changed so it is only used in the event that the other side is clear. Otherwise amazing event.

  155. It was really good and a fantastic experience for me, all my friends seemed to really enjoy it aswell so please keep up the funding 😀 Croxfest is what brings our community together

  156. What a great family day out, I love the way we use the green for the whole community to enjoy. Really well organised and finished at a good time, can’t wait for next years croxfest.

  157. A great day, enjoyed by everyone on the All Saints’ Church stall. A really good atmosphere, friendly and relaxed, good music and food and a wonderful community event. We feel honoured to have been given the chance to raise funds for our new kitchen, in our hall which is used by 700 local people each week. We raised £889.93 (£431.75 from cakes and jam and £458.18 in the buckets). Many thanks to everyone who contributed, and to the Parish Council and all the sponsors and organisers.

  158. We travelled over an hour to get there and it was worth it. We will definitely look out for it again next year. Well done!

  159. I missed it this year and by all the comments we wish we could have been there. Last year was really great and met up with a lot of FAMILY AND FRIENDS. So will make sure we are with you next year. Keep the good work. All the best.

  160. Well after a very wet summer the sky performed as good as the bands. It was a really enjoyable day all the best to all who put in a great deal of effort to make it happen. Do hope the backing is there for another next year.

  161. What a fantastic day. The first time I’d been, I wish that I had known about it in previous years, let’s hope that we can experience it again next year. I was really upset when Watford’s Rainbow festival was axed, it surely can’t happen to the Croxfest too. Such a lovely atmosphere, listening to fantastic music, dancing with people that you have never met before, everyone wearing smiles. A huge thank you to all the people who helped organise it, all the band members, technicians and everyone else who made such a great day happen.

  162. Great day; I went with my son, enjoyed it so much we went home and came back with my wife! Music was great; a really friendly, relaxed atmosphere; very family friendly; met some lovely people; marshalls & volunteers couldn’t have been more helpful. Only gripe would be that the food was average at best.

  163. An amazing event for sleepy suburbia. Bands were quite a mixed bag but I liked most of them. Progress from last year’s promising start and rewarded by a bumper crowd of all ages. Some more laid back sounds would have been good on such a sunny afternoon and maybe a few more younger musicians early on as well as the “well tried and tested” acts. Recorded music between sets was a bit “standard” – could be more diverse. Loads of kids so more entertainment for them maybe. Overall though a credit to the organisers and volunteers and yes sell some T shirts!

  164. Had a great time at croxfest 2012, the bands were great ! The atmosphere was really good as well. Will definately be going again next year.

  165. What a fantastic family day out, the bands were great, the food stalls lovely, the children had an amazing time and everyone was smiling! what a fantastic community spirit! Well done guys for organising

  166. For the second year in a row Croxfest was quality! The good weather helped if course. I thought “The Late Day Breakers” were particularly good – Bring it on again next year, and perhaps we could have a second stage as well?

  167. A fantastic day for all the family. We took a picnic and stayed for the majority of the day … only went home when my 4 year old granddaughter crashed out after so much dancing!
Really friendly atmosphere, well organized and an outstanding event for Croxley.
Well done to all concerned and look forward to 2013

  168. I was born in Croxley, over 50 years ago, and have lived here all my life. I think it is wonderful that the Green is finally being put to good community use and coming into the 21st century. An excellent event for all the family – only wished it could have finished later. The organisers behind this event have founded a truly brilliant concept that I hope goes on and on ………..just like the Revels !!

  169. We all had a great day out.it was very nice to see live music on the green rather than load of old cars being shown off by a load of middle aged men with to much money

  170. Unfortnately both years I was unable to attend as I work all day Saturday 🙁 and I’m sure I was not the only person that this was the case for. Would it be maybe be Considered to be held on a Sunday next year ?

  171. Brilliant day! Hope this becomes a yearly event, have attended both so far and had a great time. Fabulous whether you’re with friends, a couple or with children, not often you get such an all rounder

  172. Croxfest is AMAZING i went last year with my mum and her friends, raved so much about it that this year about 20 of my friends came and said it was so much fun ! personally id like a croxfest once a month!

  173. What a brilliant day! We brought a picnic and something to drink, invited our friends, and a great time was had by all.

  174. A fantastic day no trouble and all my friends, family and neighbours all in the same place ! Can’t wait til next year ! X

  175. Absolutely brilliant day! Obviously it helped that it was hot and sunny but there was great music, great bands and a wonderful atmosphere too. A huge thank you to everyone involved in the organisation

  176. Another lovely afternoon of music, sun and friends. Would agree with other folk that one of the covers bands should have headlined, as most people are ready to dance at the end of the day. Great organisation again.

  177. Definitely a day to put in your annual diary. Good to see local bands, young and old. Very well organised. Wish there was more community events like this in Croxley. Long live the Croxfest!

  178. Fantastic day on the green and so nice to watch people of all ages, families and friends enjoying the music from the local community. Its days like this that make Croxley Green a hidden gem.
Noise level was perfect this year, just need a few more stalls for the younger kids would be nice, so the parents can stay longer.

  179. what a fantastic day , fantastic weather ,good bands as always this is the second time i have been and really enjoyed the day with family and good friends. well done to everyone involved croxley rocked bring on the next one, roll on 2013

  180. Great day – great atmosphere – such a wonderful event to have in Croxley – only suggestion would be to have a ‘cover band’ as the last up as we were all ready to sing along and dance by then….can’t wait for CROXFEST 2013 !

  181. Thanks for another excellent Croxfest.. another next year please! BUT..
Dear 2014 Committee, we’re not all hardcore rock or ska music fans, everything seemed a bit heavy….(bring back Colvex!)
By the way, chasing Grace were brilliant 😀

  182. Excellent again already looking forward to next year. DeLorean were simply a spectacular way to finish a great great day. thanks everyone

  183. What a brilliant day! And you couldn’t have picked a better band to finish the day – Delorean were magnificent! A real stadium rock experience!
    Can’t wait until Croxfest 2014!!

  184. Thank you for for all the hard work to make such a fantastic local event, it is amazing to get the local community together for such a family fun day.
Lets all work together to make it happen next year 🙂

  185. My mum n dad took me, I had a gr8 day. Loved the bouncy castle, catching up with friends and enjoying the atmosphere.
We need more local events like this, I love it!

  186. Loved it 🙂 great atmosphere of families and friends getting together regardless of age and music tastes, just to enjoy the fun!

  187. Super day, shattered by the end of it!
So much hard work put in to such a positive event! Well Done to the entire team!
Shame there were not many community stalls as ideal time to target local people eg Homestart, Volunteer service,
A beer tent would be nice too 😉

  188. First vist to fest! Came towards end and watched Spitfires who were brilliant. Great atmosphere! Maybe have a band or 2 next year who play more general music as not everyone likes ska and heavy rock. But it was great! Would love to help out next year!

  189. A great event and thoroughly enjoyed by many croxley green residents showcasing what a great community and area it is to reside in. Personally I believe that events like this should be funded by TRDC and the residents association rather than out of touch councillors whom seem to have no idea what the people who vote them in want. Stand out bands for me were the young guys at the beginning must have been about only 14 and super talented and Delorean who were fantastic.
Congratulations on another successful event and looking forward to another one in 2014. Which we hope will bebigger I.e 2 days and go on later In the evening.

  190. All in all a great day first time at croxfest had a good day with the kids but only one thing there was not enough toilets for the kids

  191. What a fabulous afternoon!! Thanks so much Croxfext for providing such a great event which brought together such a diverse group of people into a truly community day.

  192. A fantastic day for the community, a great way to bring everyone together. We saw nothing but smiles, people enjoying themselves and good behaviour. This wad a credit to the organisers and those who attended. Thank you. We’re looking forward to 2014 already.

  193. Well done to the organisers for putting on such a great event, everyone behind the scenes couldn’t have been more helpful in assisting the bands playing and as far as I could see people from the ages of 3 months to 90 years young seemed to love the whole experience!

  194. What a fantastically run and fun day out for all the family! We had an amazing time at Croxley’s mini Glastonbury!! Thanks for all your hardwork. We look forward to next year, ☺

  195. Well it was my first ever Croxfest and I wasn’t at all disappointed. It was all very well organised and thought out. People have to realise that this festival is only small and is run by volunteers and a lot was donated so that this could run for the community. There was quite a lot of parking available, but still not enough for the crowds that arrived. I don’t think some people realised how popular it would be, it surprised me. I travelled down from Hitchin, North Herts to the event to see The Odd Eccentric play. Hitchin have over the years run a festival called Rhythms of the World which had humble beginnings like this festival. It got so popular that they had 19,000 visitors per day. The only thing I would request is that they organise a better sound system, because some of the bands had problems, including The Odd Eccentric, Paul Eccentric couldn’t hear anything on stage. Hope that Croxfest continues, I had a wonderful afternoon of music and song. It was wonderful to see young bands getting involved too ie. Honor Sunday who performed impeccably. Thanks to all those who helped to make it happen.

  196. I couldn’t make it this year, but judging from the feedback I have heard from my friends it was a huge success. Last year was fab too

  197. Excellent day again, fantastically well organised, congratulations all involved! My only suggestions to improve next time would be to involve more non rock bands and perhaps there’d be a DJ around willing to donate their time to help keep the energy up in the gap between bands by spinning some tunes…

  198. Brilliant once again; a joy to look forward to each year as are the Revels. Croxley is a very special place and it would be such a shame if certain people had their way and made it substandard. In all the places I have lived (spanning thousand of miles), I have never seen a more openly welcoming, friendly and thoroughly loved community. Keep up the hard work and looking forward to another brilliant Croxfest 2014!

  199. Croxfest is great for young and old alike. The music was excellent, as usual, and the atmosphere was great. If someone is questioning that, they clearly wereren’t there! Thanks to everyone who made it possible.

  200. What a great day out. Wasn’t going to come this year because of the weather, that would of been a massive mistake.
Meeting up with friends with good music, a fabulous setting and a awesome atmosphere. Oh yeah and Big Stu.
    Roll on 2014, cant wait.

  201. The whole family enjoyed the day at Croxfest. We made new friends and met some old friends. The band’s were brilliant and there was a great atmosphere. All in all a fantastic time.

  202. We all had a great time regardless of the weather, music was good and great opportunity to really feel part of the community, thanks for all the organisation and effort that goes to putting something like this together

  203. We had a lovely day, went to support Honor Sunday which wrere the opening band for Croxfest which was a big day for them. They were encouraged to play there what a big experience for them considering the youngest is 12 the others are 14. We all had an excellent day sun was shining eventually listening to cool music. More free adverts need to be done well done Three Rivers . Also how nice to see so many family’s together which is becoming a thing of the past. Good day had by all thank you

  204. Had another great year at Croxfest! This year we took a picnic and made a day of it and the kids had fun havin their faces painted and goingvon the bouncy castle. Can’t wait till next year so that we can bring more family and friends to the event. Great day out and great community spirit makes you feel very lucky to live in hertfordshire.

  205. One if the many things that makes this an amazing place to live. A great free family, community day! Wow what a difficult choice, should we do it again! Damn right! Congratulations to all the hard working people involved! Thank you all for a great day!

  206. Loved it! Stayed sober all day and drove from Berkhamsted for it!!! Really well run, Lovely, happy volunteers and great bands (Delorean in particular, love those guys!. Superb family day out and FREE!!!!!

  207. Croxfest 2013-What a great day!!! Great music and fabulous atmosphere. As someone has already mentioned would love to see more community stalls.
A big thank you goes to the folk who make this event happen-you are legends!!
    Looking forward to Croxfest 2014

  208. I think it should go on for longer! Love croxfest! But do think there needs to be music in between bands.
Thank you all for a great day!

  209. Croxfest is a wonderful event and a real highlight for the area each year providing a wonderful showcase for some of the best local talent. Long may it continue!

  210. Congratulations on organising a wonderful event that adds much-needed colour to the life of the community and gives a rare platform to local talent. It is a truly selfless enterprise deserving of support. Here’s to 2014.

  211. Another fantastic croxfest, the music was great and it had a great family atmosphere. Fingers crossed for croxfest 2014. Next year maybe more stuff for kids to do, the 2 bouncy castles had massive queues all day.

  212. Yet again a good day out – decent band and a good family atmosphere, for free.
My only comment for improvement would be to play music through the P.A. between bands to keep the music going as it’s a bit stop/start without it.
Otherwise, well done and look forward to next year.

  213. I really enjoyed my time at Croxfest and thought the bands were great. If I could make a request for next year it would be that there are more activities for young teens. Maybe more stalls. Great job and look forward to next year.

  214. Great family day out. The atmosphere was fantastic with a lot of people enjoying themselves. A big thank you to all the volunteers who run it. Long may it continue.

  215. Once again a fantastic fun day out for the family. We really loved it, thank you so much. Its great that the bouncy castle is free for the little ones, and the food stalls are good, varied and lovely that gluten free options are available. I would suggest a few more stalls next year please and more advertising before the event! I only knew about it because I joined the facebook page a year ago!! Well done everyone, keep the good work going!

  216. Absolutely loved the day out, great music, great atmosphere – even the weather held up! Looking forwards to next year’s

  217. Superb community event – brilliantly organised (again), and great to see so many families up on the green making a day of it. I agree with some of the other comments about their not being enough for the kids to do, could be worth approaching some of the local schools to see if their PTA’s would set up some stalls. Could maybe have some family friendly stand ups/entertainers between bands too.
That aside, it was a brilliant event, and I look forward to Croxfest 2014!

  218. Third year running and getting better every year. Well done to Big Stu and all the organisers and helpers as it cant go on without you. The bands were great all day and the finale was big, loud and brilliant. Rock and Roll on next year.

  219. What a fabulous day, great bands big thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors as without them this wicked event wouldn’t happen bring on croxfest 2014

  220. A lovely community event, extremely well run, great for all the family. It is not easy to please everyone with the choice of bands but would suggest the day builds up to the more powerful up-tempo bands as the smaller, quieter acts can get a bit lost after a noisy one e.g. Chasing Grace may have been better on earlier. A 12 noon start is perhaps a little too early for some but know event cannot go on much later than 8pm. Thank you to all organisers and team.

  221. Yet another fabulous day at Croxfest. Over 40 of us came and had a fantastic day of entertainment. It gets better every year. Stuart Carter and volunteers, be very proud of yourselves. You did a great job for the community and local talent. Thank you.

  222. A big thank you to all the organisers and volunteers of Croxfest 2013, once again we had a fabulous day. The day had such an amazing community feel to it. Adults had a wonderful time chatting and Children had a great time playing with each other without the need for rides etc. We look forward to Croxfest 2014.

  223. Really hope Croxfest continues year after year, Colvex back for next year?
Would have liked to have seen local Cafes, pubs, restaurants, bakers, brewers etc selling food & drink – chance to promote their businesses.

  224. Really well organised again, the music was really good this year as was the mix ( well done the sound men!) and as always it was great to see everybody of all ages having a good time. Maybe make a donation of £2 or so a bit more strongly encouraged as I think most people would be happy to pay it! Hoping Croxfest can become a regualr fixture after 3 very successful years!

  225. Brilliant day , our third one and invited friends and family from far afield.Everyone had a great time.
Thank you to all the volunteers , it means everything to the community
Is there anyway at all to sell/ supply alcohol on the green , even if it was the 3 pubs selling their wares

  226. Big thanks to all involved once again for a great day! As a band member I thought the sound men did a great job as did the tech crew in setting up the stage. It was good to see a range of acts (pop, folk, rock and indie) – a lot of people have said there need to be less rocky acts – perhaps it may be better to mix the order of the bands however so there aren’t three rock bands in a row? Great to see local youth given a chance as well (MAZE, Spitfires, Chasing Grace and Honour Sunday). Bring on next year’s event!

  227. Had a great day, better than expected, good to see a big crowd, being in one of the bands . Wish to play there next year too. Best day in a long time. Thanks croxfest!

  228. What a great day once again. This event gets better each year. Pleased there is no beer tent as it means families stay together and there is no anti-social behaviour. Bought drinks up from local supermarket and from pub, so money going into local business rather than a commercial firm ripping me off for a pint of indifferent beer/lager.
Toilets were the best I’ve ever seen at a festival. Thanks. Well done to all involved and sponsors. Croxley community spirit is alive and well. Revels, Croxfest, Fireworks at midnight on New Years Eve, Croxley Mummers, Fairs and car shows on The Green. Get involved with these events and with the great teams of volunteers behind them. It’s your Community so come along and help it grow. Rock and Roll towards 2014.

  229. My 1st Croxfest but definitely not my last!! It was absolutely great, very well organised, lovely to see all ages come together. The bands were fantastic. A BIG well done to all that helped put this event together & I hope it will continue over the coming years.
The only problem I saw was the amount of inconsiderate car owners parking on our pavements making it difficult to pass when walking & if you happen to have a wheel chair then you would have no hope of passing. Such a shame.
I totally brilliant day & thoroughly enjoyed by all.

  230. my family and I absolutely love Croxfest. We are so lucky to have the opportunity of taking our children to a really lovely Event. We danced our socks off. Hope to see it again in 2014!!

  231. Well done to all involved putting Croxfest together. What a fantastic day. Great opportunity to meet up with people, sit around and enjoy the music from Artists we wont usually get an opportunity to see. Looking forward to next years event.

  232. 3rd and best yet Croxfest. Its great to see the community getting together and having a good time. Our ages ranged from 7 to 47 and we all had a brilliant day. Thank you so much to all involved.

  233. It was great being a volunteer and meeting so many lovely people 🙂 .. I hope im allowed to volunteer next year as its a lovely event. The atmosphere was friendly and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. Thanks Steve for looking out for me!

  234. Had a fantastic day out, something for everyone from my elderly mother to my teenage son and youngest girl. Really well organised and efficient. The choice of stalls and eclectic live music as well as helpful staff made this our highlight of the summer and I urge the organisers to continue in 2014 and beyond!

  235. I attended this years Croxfest from beginning to end and I had a fantastic day. The atmosphere was very friendly and every single band that played at the event was electric. This event would deferentially be the highlight of my summer.
The only bad thing that I found was some of the food that was on sale at the event I found was a bit pricey.

  236. Our first time and we were very glad we came! Kids loved it and even with the sprinkle of rain it was a great event. Toilets clean and all volunteers were lovely and friendly. Only grumble is the amount of rock bands. Found it too heavy at times and kids weren’t interested in having a nice dance! The Thai stall was fab and reasonably priced. The Italian stall was very overpriced (£6 for pasta) and one lady who worked on it was very rude when we asked for fresh Parmesan cheese! We will definitely be back next year!

  237. Croxfest was great another year delorian best cover band ever well done for organising another great day out thankyou

  238. I love my rock music but seems like quite a few people would like a bit more variety, maybe look for some funk/soul bands next year? A bit different and would still get people up and dancing!

  239. Best day of my summer! Thank you to everyone who was involved in the day! Personal favourite moment was the Delorean band at the end of the evening – wow what a band – and what a frontman!

  240. Great lineup, quality backstage team and of course a brilliant turnout from the local community! I would agree with some other comments on here that music between the acts would have been nice, but other than that the day was spot on, and was a pleasure to attend both as a performer and a spectator.
I’d prepare for even more parking next year, as I can only see this event getting bigger and better… bring on Croxfest 2014!

  241. This was my first Croxfest and it won’t be my last . It was a really well organised and fun event that suited all ages. I brought my 3 young children and they loved it.
A brilliant family event, thanks for organising it.

  242. Fantastic event and a really enjoyable day. As someone’s who’s been involved in organising large community events in the past I know only too well how much effort is required and everyone involved with Croxfest should take huge credit for both the efforts in the background and the hugely successful nature of the day itself.
Events like this are a key element in bringing communities together – look at the thousands of people mingling, dancing, chatting, laughing etc together on Saturday. That’s interaction that you can’t force but you can facilitate and that’s exactly the part Croxfest plays in the community.
In a country that’s often referred to as Broken Britain – sometimes/often with good reason – events like Croxfest offer hope that there’s still a sense of community. More of the same next year please – given the obvious dedication in the team behind the event it can only go from strength to strength.

  243. A well organised family afternoon out utilising the Green for what it’s intended for – use by the community.
Will be there for next years too.

  244. Excellent excellent excellent day!! We’re HUGE live music fans and thought all the music was great – agree about adding some background tunes in-between the bands while they are setting up – perhaps a few tracks in keeping the style of the band that’s about to take to the stage, just to set the vibe?
Delorean were simply outstanding, never seen them before but we all agreed they are by far best rock band we’ve seen outside of a stadium (and we see a LOT of bands)!! Perfect choice for a big finale to end the day!! Can they be contacted for party bookings?
We’ve been avid Croxfest supporters for the previous 2 years and have seen the event go from strength to strength. Can’t wait to see how you top it next year! The community spirit shown was really heartwarming. The fact you managed to get so many volunteers just goes to show what the event means to people.
A beer tent or 2 would be great – perhaps stocked and staffed by the local publicans so that they don’t lose out on trade? People were bringing their own in and were still very well behaved, so I can’t see it being a problem in terms of drunken louts wandering around. It would just help add to the festival atmosphere and prevent folk from having to leave the area to get a fresh drink. Perhaps a couple of extra toilets as well wouldn’t go amiss. We didn’t have a problem with parking, but we got there early-ish.
I know a few people commented about there being too many rock bands, however I don’t think that was the problem. The issue was that there were too many similar bands back-to-back. Personally for me, as a live music supporter I love listening to both original material and cover songs. However I think for a festival such as this maybe there were a few too many original artists. I overheard heard a lot of people commenting that they wanted to be able to sing along to something but that they couldn’t. Wasn’t a problem for us though, we loved it all!
Hubby will be writing his own feedback later as he’s still raving about the day! As stated previously by others, this was probably the highlight of our summer!

  245. After 12 months of planning, a hectic weekend, and a clear up on Sunday morning, the whole CroxFest team are thrilled with your overall feedback! As a resident and seasoned festival goer, i feel honoured and proud to be part of CroxFest. Considering EVERYONE volunteers their free time to share their love of music and all things Croxley, i’m sure our de-brief meeting will be nothing short of exciting. If CroxFest 2014 happens we’ll be begging for more help and volunteers! I thought the band selection committee did an admirable job. Being an old Rocker at heart i thought DeLorean were, quite possibly, one of the best rock bands I’ve seen outside of a stadium event.
Keep your comments coming please. The more feedback we get both positive or negative will help any future CroxFest’s as well as strengthen the case to make CroxFest an annual event for the foreseeable future.
Don’t forget that even though CroxFest is run by volunteers, it would be nothing without the most fantastic crowd that you were this year!

  246. Have been reading the comments on here (having left one on Sunday) about the possibility of a beer tent. Have been to 3 festivals in Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring in the last year or so, where you weren’t allowed to take your own drink in. Afterwards there was no positive feedback at all, just complaints about the amount of time you had to queue for a drink and how the bars ran out quickly! I say bring your own, much nicer!

  247. reading these comments i am wondering if next year there should maybe be some more food available ?? perhaps some local shops/cafe etc selling cakes ? snacks ? or picnics?? i would be happy to help !

  248. We come to Croxfest every year, and always have a fabulous time. Thank you so much to the volunteers for all your hard work. It’s a great family day out, we can bring the kids who have a great day dancing and playing, bring a picnic and have a drink (that we haven’t paid through the nose for) all in our own little village – how lucky are we?! I have family and friends who travel from the other side of London to join in. Long Live Croxfest!

  249. What a fantastic day! Thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time up to make this event so amazing and so that the rest of us could have such a brilliant time. The bands were great and even the weather behaved for Croxfest! What a wonderful place to live! I don’t think the event needs a beer tent – so much nicer (and cheaper!) to bring your own.

  250. The wife has already left her feedback/essay(!), however I just wanted to add a note to say thanks to everyone who worked hard to make Croxfest such an awesome day.
Big thanks to all the bands – and Delorean if you guys are reading these comments you’ve earned a couple of life-long fans here – best band I’ve ever seen, Big Stu below put it perfectly!
I’m a bit split on the idea of a beer tent – based on the responsible behaviour we’ve seen by Croxfest visitors over the last couple of years, I do think it’s a good idea but ONLY if it’s run by the local pubs so that the money goes back into community businesses. I also totally agree with the suggestions of having music during the breaks in between bands, it would really help to keep the atmosphere flowing.
Thoroughly enjoyed the event! Here’s my vote for Delorean as the last band next year as well lol

  251. Great day as always, so much fun, fantastic acts and great community spirit bringing the whole of Croxley-young and old together. Looking forward to next years already!

  252. Another fantastic festival and fantastic bands this year! Well done to all the organisers as they put their time and their effort in! Can’t wait for next year! Roll on croxfest 2014!
    Thanks from Amanda x

  253. Great time at the festival.well organised and a lovely atmosphere.the best event now held on the green.it makes a nice change to have something a bit different in croxley.i think that cars should be charged for parking on the green this would encourage more people to walk and also raise some money towards the festival.i don’t like the idea of having beer tents at the festival.i would imagine the pubs do pretty well anyway.big stu was great on the day and his time to compare revels can’t be far away.

  254. What a great local event! Well organised, staff and public very friendly. Great inspiration to my son who want to be on the Croxfest stage when he is older!
    Looking forward to Croxfest 2014.

  255. Very good excellent event. Brilliant community event, nice mix of music . A great way of bringing people together. Very well organised. Extremely professionally done. Could have done with better instructions on how to get there by bus rather than just a link to arriva website. A simple concept done very well.

  256. Had a great time, loved the family day out, so nice to see everyone so happy and the great effort from the organisers, looking forward to next year!
    Rob

  257. Fantastic family friendly event again this year which appeals to all age groups. My granddaughter and me had a brilliant time. Lovely atmosphere. Thank you to all the organisers … long may Croxfest continue

  258. I had a great time, meeting new friend and having a laugh. Can’t wait till the next one . music was great. All the bands were great too.x

  259. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy quality live music in such a perfect setting.
I hope it inspires more people to get out and go to open mic nights/gigs and support their local music scene. Looking forward to next year!

  260. Huge thanks to all the Croxfest team, the whole support staff backstage were brilliant (including t-shirted security hound) everyone could not have been more helpful, professional or friendlier! For a festival stage I have to say the timings, load in and out and general stage handling were exceptional, especilly given my very silly kit having to get on stage in double quick time, and the sound was excellent given the very limited timeframe, can safely say that me and all the DeLorean lads loved every second of it!

  261. What a great event for people from all ages , organisation fab! Well done to Honor Sunday, the under 14 year old band that opened the event!

  262. This was my second Croxfest (first to play at!) and I’m always impressed at how well the day is run, from a performers and an audience members perspective.
The mix of covers and originals always works well, always good to showcase new talent, and I feel that this year there was something for everyone.
We had a blast, it was well run, no trouble, everyone I spoke to was polite and helpful and as Dave said below, the turnaround onstage was brilliant, I’ve never been so relaxed setting my gear up at a festival!
The event organisers, volunteers and everyone involved should be very pleased with how the event went, everyone I have spoken to has said how well the event was run and how much of a good time they had.
On behalf of the other guys in DeLorean and myself, we would just like to say a huge huge thank you to everyone that came along, we hope it was as awesome for you guys as it was for us!
In short, excellent. Long may Croxfest continue!

  263. What a fantastic afternoon, such a well run great local family event, huge thanks to all of the volunteers who made it happen.

  264. Wow. My second year to visit and what a day. A big group of us went and small children right through to the adults enjoyed themselves. Great day had by all, and brought everyone together , everyone friendly and a great atmosphere all round. Wish it could go on longer !!! Only thing needed was more toilets as the queue at the end was rather long. Thank you for everyone’s effort for this memorable day !!!!!!

  265. A wonderful Community afternoon spent among heaps of people having the best time. Listening to some wonderful tunes – must say loved ‘Chasing Grace’ so well organised and ran as normal. Go Croxfest!

  266. Well this was my 3rd time at croxfest, and I can truly say I loved every minute of it all I can say is roll on the next one.And its so nice to see everybody young and old together having fun and enjoying the music, long live croxfest

  267. Thanks again, for another fabulous day on the green, great event! loved every minute, already looking forward to next years!!

  268. Great day and very family friendly next year less heavy metal/rock music though please we need some we can dance about to and sing along as well

  269. I look forward to Croxfest every year! Such a great idea to get the community together. Family friendly and for people of all ages. Well done to the team for making it such a HUGE success every time!

  270. I’d like to complain. I live about a kilometre away from the site and can’t hear a thing. I thought there was a rock festival on today! Looks like I’m going to have to come up to the Green to have a look for myself.

  271. My childhood and my Dads childhood is Croxley Green. I have the best memories of this wonderful village. The place, the schools, my friends made me the person I am today and I thank them. Today and every croxfest is about family, friends, children and great music and what a great community it is. Every Croxfest has been a major success and I would like to personally thank the organisers for their hard work. One thing I would like to say is that the person who opposes the music and event obviously has no idea what community spirit is all about and should really take a moment to think of others and not themselves. Life is too short so let’s embrace every moment. Be lucky and Stay happy Jules xxxx

  272. What a fantastic afternoon. Great community feel, lovely atmosphere. Enjoyed with family including 3 young children. Music was a perfect level for me although my husband says it wasn’t loud enough!! Bands were great, loved the stalls and catering. We could not hear the music from our house near croxley station. Don’t know why people complain it’s one day a year and it’s finished by 8pm.
Can’t wait for next year. Well done to everyone involved!

  273. What a fantastic day. We’ve been to every year so far and always have a great time. We have two young children and they love hearing the bands and playing with their friends. Great stalls, great bands thank you so much for organising such a great event!

  274. What a great day. Loved the variety of bands. Would like to say a big thank you to those who work really hard to make this happen and to the many volunteers that worked so hard today xx

  275. What a fab day – even better than last year. The whole day was a great success. Lots of hard work and organisation from volunteers who have given up lots of their free time to make it such a special day. The bands were excellent and it was lovely seeing people of all ages having such a fun time. I can’t understand why people have complained about the noise. If they bothered to make an effort and come to Croxfest they would see what pleasure it brings to the community. I can only conclude they have nothing better to do with their time than moan.

  276. I live less that 1/2 a mile away in Grove Crescent and we couldn’t hear it from where I live. I went down there about 4.30 and stayed until 7.30 with my grandchildren. We had a fabulous time. The music was great, it was very well organised, very family focused with people of all ages. I’ve lived in Croxley Green all of my life (53 years) and for me Croxfest is by far Croxley’s best annual event. It gets better every year. The bands were excellent.
Thanks to the organisers who did a fantastic job…looking forward to next year

  277. First time I’ve made it to croxfest, always been away before!
Great bands, lovely atmosphere, lovely organisers 🙂
It’s an excellent way to give youngsters a first taste of live music, see what real music is like and give them the desire to perform.
Keep up the good work chaps, looking forward to next year already.

  278. Excellent day out. Friendly atmosphere and the free balloons and bubbles kept the toddlers occupied for ages! Great to see people of all ages attending and whole families. This really sets it apart from most festivals. Bouncy castles a very welcome feature, as was the toddler play area.
Liked the varied mix of genres, something for everyone. Heart radio between the bands worked very well. I particularly liked The Nameless Three – opening with Fresh Prince was a stroke of genius!! Bought their CD and would love to see them back again.
As a recycling fanatic it was great to see on-site recycling bins. No need for free bottled water to be given out though – greener to just fill up a reusable container / old bottle at home to minimise waste. Would be good to add signs on the large rubbish bins saying don’t put recyclable materials in there – easy to not realise there are separate recycling bins otherwise (especially when later in the day when it gets very busy).
Impeccably well run. Good parking system. So hard to pull something like this off these days, a credit to the community. Could only hear the music once on the green – nothing audible outside in north Croxley. Well done to all the volunteers, bands and sponsors.

  279. First time I’ve been able to stay until the end with the kids. Love the perfect balance for families – great atmosphere, stalls and just lovely. Thank you so much, looking forward to next year already 🙂

  280. Brilliant day, so well organised. Thank you so much – you even ordered the weather for us! Great variety of stalls, food & drink. All the bands were great but Rock Remedy were a particular stand out for me, a very tight bunch of players with a great sound – they really got the dancing going. Lovely festival with a great atmosphere. Here’s to the next one!

  281. Due to other commitments was only able to get to the the last couple of hours this year so whilst I can’t comment on the earlier bands I can say the both Rock Remedy and The Informers perfectly matched the scene I discovered on my arrival. The whole green was in absolute party mood with more dancing than previous years and everyone I spoke to just said what a great day it had been. As ever well done to the organisers and local councils please take note of a great community event that should supported and encouraged – how many other villages could even dream of an event like this?

  282. I have been to all so far and they keep getting better. thank you to all the event organisers and volunteers who make it such a success. great music again and fingers crossed it will go ahead next year. my fave bit was when walking in with my nearly 2 year old I saw a group of 70+ year olds in camping chairs eating sausage and chips and drinking wine. it goes to show this event appeals to all ages.

  283. Had a great day at Croxfest. The music was great and I love the fact that it brings our community together on the green. These events are what makes Croxley such a nice place to live. Well done to the event organisers. I’m looking forward to next year!

  284. Was at the event from start to finish, had an amazing day out, great music, great entertainment, great atmosphere, but please can you double the amount of loo’s for next year!
    Well-done
    Andy

  285. Croxfest is one of the reasons that Croxley is such a fantastic place to live. The whole of Croxley having fun together, a lot of people working hard to make sure the community benefit from such fantastic events. Well done and a huge thank you to you all..

  286. Fabulous, possibly the best yet, lovely to see so many families out enjoying the music, great atmosphere! Looking forward to next year, thanks Croxfest Crew!
p.s. too hard to choose just one favourite band, but Rocking Furys, Swan Vesta, Rock Remedy and the Informers were amongst my favourites 🙂

  287. Fantastic day out with kids. Great for children with the free bouncy castle, facepainting, balloons etc. Felt well organised and the music was great.

  288. What a great day, everybody had a wonderful day as in previous years. Whatever happens this should continue, don’t let the one ‘Victor Meldrew’ spoil this marvelous event!!

  289. Great fun, great day out, thanks to everyone who made it happen. Fantastic community event for all ages. Can’t wait for next year.

  290. I love the Croxfest, been to them all. Without a doubt it’s the best community event in Croxley, young and old all really enjoying themselves and never any trouble. Well done to the organisers and already looking forward to next years event.

  291. What a brilliant day really good music sitting in a field in the sun with lovely people. You just can’t beat it. Thankyou to all who work so hard to achieve such a good day xxx

  292. Had a great time, fab music, stalls & it seems to be a very successful community event as hundreds there, young & old! Always going to get the odd complaint but it’s once a year 12-8pm!!! Keep up the good work & I hope it continues every year!

  293. A fantastic, well organised community event! Lovely friendly atmosphere, no trouble and great music! By far the best community event of the year – well done to the dedicated organisers. Let’s hope that those who give permission for this fantastic event to take place can see past the few moaning Minnies who, sadly, instead of coming up to the green to join in with the fun and laughter, choose to spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon straining their sad old ears to see if they can hear music from their houses. Seriously – one afternoon a year? Go shopping or visit family – it’s all finished by 8pm. I live 10 minutes walk from the green and when we walked up we heard nothing until we reached the green itself. A fantastic community event for all ages! Long may it continue.

  294. I had such a wonderful time at Croxfest and it really brings together the community spirit. I know there have been some issues around noise but I Was sitting about half way through the crowd and could talk, at a pleasant level, to my friends and family. I felt it was organised really well and brought together lots of families and friends from all over Croxley Green, well done everyone.

  295. Thank you to all the volunteers and community stalls. Please let this great event continue for many more years, it’s a credit to the village.

  296. Thank you to all the volunteers and community stalls. Please let this great event continue for many more years, it’s a credit to the village.

  297. Thank you to all the volunteers and community stalls. Please let this great event continue for many more years, it’s a credit to the village.

  298. Yet again, another great family event for the whole community. I have been to all so far and they keep getting better and better. It’s so nice to see so many people of such varied ages having a good time together in this world where violence and crime seem to be the only thing that gets people talking. A massive well done to all those who volunteered their time to make this such a sucess. May it long continue.

  299. In life there will always be “the person” who finds something to complain about in anything, not matter how small. I think (personally), the sound could’ve been turned up a notch or two. An event that happens once a year and reaches it’s conclusion by 8pm should not need to bow down to these difficult party poopers.
Croxfest is an asset. Something we should all get out and enjoy.
For those who don’t enjoy the music, go out for one day a year. Simple.

  300. Another fantastic Croxfest! As a resident of Croxley I am so happy & proud that we have this winderful, friendly , fun and safe event in our community! Thanks again to all who helped run Croxfest! And long may it continue.

  301. Great day!! Croxfest gets better every year. Good mix of bands and great to see young and old all having fun. Community spirit at its best.

  302. Great day again. Event was well organised. Weather good. Music enjoyable, although harder to hear where we were sat – nearer the back. Look forward to next years!

  303. Another fantastic event. Thank you to all of you who
plan, organise and work so hard on the day.
It is much appreciated. It’s great that such an event
can be put in locally and all for free. Long may it continue.

  304. We all had a brilliant time. Thank you Croxfest, for putting on this brilliant free event. Can’t wait for next years!
Loved the bouncy castle, it helped to keep our little one entertained. Good choice of food stalls on offer.
Bands that we saw were very good, but we only stayed for half of the day as little one was tired.
Volunteers were all super friendly and helpful. Can’t ask for more. Well done to all involved 🙂

  305. What a fantastic day! Brilliant bands, wonderful atmosphere – and most importantly, thousands of happy faces. Well done to the Croxfest committee and volunteers who work so hard and enthusiastically all year to make this event happen – you’re a credit to the community.
To the complainers – you’re magnificently outnumbered and so you should be.
    Can’t wait for next year!

  306. This was my first time at Crocfest and l had a brilliant time. Everyone is there to enjoy themselves and the atmosphere is great. All the bands were really good and lm already looking forward to next years event. Thank you to all the organisers for working so hard to make this duch a special event.

  307. As always Croxfest is an occasion where the community comes together, old and young. Atmosphere was chilled and relaxed. I like that you can take your own food and drink. Didn’t see anyone acting badly. Just lots of smiling happy faces. This year I even managed to park on the green. Just a shame it has to finish at 8. None of us wanted to leave. Looking forward to the next one 🙂

  308. We moved here this year as we knew all the brilliant things that go on in the village, well you didn’t let us down, it was well organised, well set up and the bands and the stalls were brilliant and we can’t wait for next year, the weather even smilled on you.The bands were varied and appealed to all tastes,a real family event WELL DONE to all who gave up their time to make it work ,true community spirit – be proud Croxley

  309. Amazingly brilliant day, such a well run event and such a happy atmosphere. Fab bands and great sound quality. Well done Croxley!!!

  310. Our first time to Croxfest and totally impressed. Fantastic atmosphere, no trouble, great music. Lovely to see generations of families together having fun and partying. Looking forward to next year!

  311. Excellent family day! Haven’t been able to make it before but glad we could this year. Well organised parking was a bonus. Great fun had by all ages and an opportunity to meet and chat with people I hadn’t seen in a while. I love a festival and this was a wonderful way to close the summer barefoot and dancing. I would suggest having a beer and wine tent though in true festival style and don’t think it would cause a problem as it finishes early. Great day and will definitely be coming again next year x

  312. Wonderful opportunity to spend time with great friends – lovely atmosphere, good music.
    Very well organised. Thank you!

  313. Playing with the Swanvesta Social Club what a well organised fun family festival. Great to see everyone out dancing laughing and having fun! Who do I put as favourite band? Us I suppose for loyalty but enjoyed the variety all good bands and different styles -Nameless Three and Sonny were great

  314. I too live in Grove Crescent.. music could be heard clearly but I’m GLAD of that as I couldn’t go. Some people complaining really need to get a life.. do they complain about the noisy, stinking fairs that happen on The Green til much later plus fireworks? Or the fireworks that go on for 20+ minutes at New Year?
Sounds like the majority of Croxley had a great time… looking forward to next year 🙂

  315. Another great family friendly (& safe) event!!!!! A very enjoyable afternoon/evening with friends. Great music, which I thought was just right. If you wanted it at it’s loudest, you stood right at the front. If you wanted to chat and listen to music, you sat a little further back! We had toddlers and small babies within our group and we weren’t at all worried about them with the music. I live 10 minutes walk from the green, and was right on the green before I could hear anything. So for something that’s once a year and done by 8pm, I feel that if it’s not your cup of tea, go out for the afternoon and enjoy yourself rather than complaining and feeling sorry for yourself. It’s a great community event, let’s support our community.
Croxley organise lots of fun events for ALL ages, come along and show your support!!!

  316. Another fabulous Croxfest, thank you organisers, helpers and volunteers for your amazing hard work, our community really appriciates all you do to host this event,
May it continue – what a lovely village family day, thank you.

  317. It was great to be part of Croxfest 2014. I’ve been there every year it’s been on and I intend to support it for many years to come. In my opinion this should be a regular annual event on the calendar and it’s also a great way to showcase up-and-coming local bands. Well done Big Stu!

  318. Fantastic day ! Thank you all for organising it it is appreciated. Great community spirit. Favourite band Rock remedy ! Such a Shame it can’t go on til 10. Think we need a few hippy stalls to make it true festival ! Great event can’t wait til next year ! Thank you xxx

  319. We had a brilliant time at Croxfest, this is our 3rd year and it was definitely the best. I loved all the bands, great that there was a good mix of music and songs that everyone would know and be able to sing along to but without it being like a great big karaoke session. Our daughter (9) and her friends had a fab time too, they are already planning their pick and mix for next year. Clean, safe and fun – many thanks

  320. Got there after work in time to watch rock remedy wow what an amazing band. I went to the horns to watch them after too. I think they should have been the last act on. although the band after were good, rock remedy were better and got more people rocking out. Lots of people moaning about the noise, there will always be haters but it’s one afternoon a year and finished by 8pm, don’t stop our fun!

  321. Great family day – our group’s ages ranged from 3 to 63 and all enjoyed the music and atmosphere. Huge thank you to all involved. Roll on next year!

  322. Great day, again. Don’t let one old fart ruin it for so many people. Well done to all involved. We all look forward to it every year

  323. A brilliant day!! Something for everyone and wonderful to meet so many families. We celebrated our daughters 6th birthday there and had a fabulous time. Amazing organisation and efforts, this is what living in Croxley is all about, roll on next year………

  324. Fantastic event, well run and brilliant for the community. Another highly successful year. Well done to all involved.

  325. A great day out for a family, good music and a chance to catch up with people from the village. Hope this becomes a permanent occasion.

  326. Absolutely brilliant day out. The whole family loved it. Wrist tags for kids a great idea. Can’t wait for next year!!

  327. Croxfest rocks! Another fantastic year and another success! It’s so wonderful to have a community event that brings together all ages! Everywhere I looked I saw smiley faces! Fantastic and long may it continue!

  328. I had a fantastic day at Croxfest. It was very well organised and obviously this was due to the many volunteers who helped this event to take place. We were so lucky to be entertained by ten fabulous bands. Everyone enjoyed themselves including the children who were dancing and clapping along with their families and friends. A great family day out. I can’t wait for the next one and hope that it will become an annual event for many years to come. Thanks for a most enjoyable day!!

  329. What an absolutely superb day, I loved every minute of it.
Fantastic music, great community spirit and what should be the lead of the future for any other local community events in the area.
The hard work put into organising the event is evident from how well the day runs, the quick change around in between bands is super and the hard work and dedication pays off to what can only be seen as the best local event day in the whole of Hertfordshire.
    Keep it going!
I can’t believe that there is someone who complains about the music, it’s a once a year family fun day. They need to really get a life. They live on what’s such a busy green with the revels, the classics, two pubs and so much passing traffic. Let Croxfest continue without the local complaints!!!!!

  330. Love love love CROXFEST!
    What a great day!
Hard work and commitment to it paid off, thank you for making a nice day a fantastic and memorable day 😀

  331. People complaining about this event need to go find a hobby!
If they went to Croxfest and experienced the joy, togetherness and community spirit it brings to young and old they would realise that it has too many positives to outweigh the little bit of noise it brings until 8pm.
The local businesses who provide food and drink and local shops on the walk to the green benefit from the community day.
It’s lovely to see families, friends of young and old and near and far come together and enjoy a day all together. Life is so busy nowadays to have a chilled day, in the sunshine, enjoying local talent just shows how we need more events like this.
Maybe in Cassiobury Park sometime too 😉

  332. Best Croxfest yet! Great choice of bands this year, especially the last 5. People just want to hear “good time” songs played well and you certainly delivered this year. Fantastic organisation as always guys. Hope to see many more Croxfests in the future, well done to everyone concerned.

  333. What a fantastic event. Really positive for all of the community. I am sure the event will go from strength to strength in years to come.

  334. What a wonderful day and the best we’ve been to. Well organised, safe and with a toddler it was great to have the soft play area and bouncy castles. The music was varied and it was fantastic to feel community spirit at its best.
Thank you to the organisers and well done for providing wrist bands for the children.

  335. my first croxfest and i had a great day /night , bands were good facilities were good and the atmosphere was fantastic….. cant wait till next year …

  336. The best croxfest yet! Music, stalls, atmosphere was brillant! We’ve young kids and they were up dancing And clapping along! Was lovely to see such family, community feel. Not many places have that but croxley definitely does. We had friends over and they could not believe it was free and what a community we live in!
We live on kenilworth and could hear the music from our house but we loved that!!!!!!!! X

  337. Thanks again for a brilliantly organised and well run community event . Great music enjoyed by all ages . We have attended every year & look forward to it continuing .

  338. This was my first visit to Croxfest and I was not disapointed. I arrived around 2.30pm so did not get to see all the bands but the ones that I did see were brilliant and there definitely was a family atmosphere. Will be back next year.

  339. Another excellent day. Felt it was even better than last year and everybody seemed to be having a wonderful time. It’s a great community event with the whole family catered for. Well done and here’s to next year!

  340. Attended croxfest for the 1st time last year this year I came back with my kids and they absolutely loved it bands were amazing another brilliant day keep up the great work see you again next year

  341. Mega thanks to everyone’s hard work in making this the best Croxfest yet! Top notch on every account, the only thing I’d change would be making it last longer!!
    Long live Croxfest!

  342. We come to Croxfest every year, this year was the best ever. So well supported and a fantastic day for all the family. The team who organise it all do an amazing job, there is no mess left and they make sure the event finishes promptly at 8pm so as not to upset the neighbours. A wonderful annual event that is hugely attended and enjoyed by the whole community.

  343. As usual, lots of families showing what great community spirit Croxley Green has.
A good selection of bands and the size of the crowd says it all.
    Well done.

  344. Croxfest is one of the local events that we always look forward to as a family, always enjoy and this year was no exception. The volunteers did a great job, it was very well organised and the bands were great. It is a real community event and you are guaranteed to spend a good part of the afternoon bumping into friends and neighbours and having a chat, sharing a drink, picnicking, dancing and playing with the kids. Our group ranged in age from toddlers to pensioners and a good time was had by all. Already looking forward to next year!

  345. My first Croxfest and both I and my three yr old had a brilliant time! Extremely well organised, plenty to do and see for the whole family, and a great fun relaxed atmosphere. Was very impressed and can’t wait to spread the word and come back next year bringing lots more people! Thanks a million and congrats to all the organisers you done good! x

  346. My first Croxfest, but definitely don’t intend it being my last!!
Although I was mostly with groups of adults (although not necessarily “grown-ups”!), there was an excellent family atmosphere, in what felt like a very safe environment.
All the bands were REALLY good, providing a refreshingly wide choice of high-quality music, and the sound quality for an open air event was just amazing – well done, and a big “THANK YOU”, to EVERYONE involved in making this happen, long may it continue!!!

  347. Gets better every year. Thanks to everyone who helps make it so good.
Enjoyed the tribute to Mr beattie!
Extra thanks to the kind person who handed in my Keys after my husband dropped them!

  348. As usual another fantastic family friendly day. The kids and the adults had a great time. Well done to all the bands, organisers, volunteers etc. We will look forward to next year. Such a brilliant local event. Thank you Croxfest!

  349. Each year Croxfest gets better! Great selection of bands, we loved the Swanvesta Social Club and the Nameless Three particularly. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent organisation and a good selection of food. A credit to Croxley!

  350. Had an absolutely amazing day with my daughter. It was such a well organised event by a friendly welcoming team. Everywhere i looked people were having a great day with their friends and family. I was so impressed that the event finished at the time it promised and how quickly the team cleared up the area. A fab mixture of bands, especially enjoyed The Nameless Three and The Informers. Croxley Green is so lucky to have this event once a year, and the fact it is free is fabulous!!!! Was proud to be part of this event,a huge thank you to all the team for having me, am already looking forward to returning next year.x.

  351. I attended Croxfest for the first time with friends and we had a fantastic time. It was great to sit out and enjoy the music and the kids loved the bouncy castles. We’re all looking forward to next year’s!

  352. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible. As a performer on the day, it was by far the most enjoyable gig I have played at – the sound technicians and backstage crew were so slick, so a big thanks to them. Hope it will continue again next year, and it would be great to see more up and coming local bands given the opportunity to perform as has been the case in previous years. A real quality event.

  353. First time for me this year and it was well worth the drive from Kent! Lovely to see so many people of different ages having fun rocking out. We walked up from Rousebarn Lane and couldn’t hear any music until we had reached Little Green School and then only just. I just feel sorry for the haters that they don’t enjoy good live music, a boogie and mingling with the community. I will definitely make a date in the diary for next year. Come on Three Rivers, take note of the majority and offer ear plugs to the moaning few!

  354. We are so lucky to have this fantastic event for free, on our doorstep. The first weekend in September is a perfect time for people to get together as most families are around as the children have just gone back to school, and the weather is often kind. The event is always well organised.
It would be great if it started and finished a little later – say 1.30 – 9.30 pm. I do appreciate that there is clearing up to be done, but it is so much more atmospheric to hear the music as it is going dark. And I do live very close to the event. I do not think finishing at 9.30 would cause offence to my neighbours. The noise levels were totally acceptable. It is great that it is growing in popularity every year. Well done.
    Thank you

  355. Well organised but they should do something in regards to alcohol! This is the second year my children have had to witness drunken behaviour from people mid afternoon. Last year my children also mid afternoon witnessed a drunken fuelled fight. Thought it might be a one off and once again this year There were unfortunately even by 4pm a few groups of adults who had too many, and not nice for children to see. Appreciate most people where not drinking to excess like this but only has to take a few groups of people to spoil it for others. next year they could ban alcohol from being taken in until a certain time so more family friendly up until a certain time?

  356. what a great atmosphere and family occasion- great band line up- excellent compere- brilliant helpers plus meeting Croxley folk or from surrounding villages- old school friends – neighbours- weather was just right- sucks boo to the one miserable complainant – by majority vote CROXFEST WILL STAY!!!!

  357. First time I’d made it to the event (having come up from South London for it) and enjoyed it thoroughly. Was impressed by the provision of distractions for the kids up at the back, plus I enjoyed the community feel and the fact that as an event it was totally open. Also, because it finished relatively early, there was time to go and do other fun things later in the evening. Good work by all involved.

  358. Great time yesterday again as per previous years (although not so great today!!) Lovely friendly atmosphere and great to see so many people supporting the event. Thank you loads to all that organise, it is appreciated. Well done guys looking forward to next years. x

  359. So impressed with what is offered at a local event, so family orientated and FREE!!
Amazing mix of music, family friendly, local talent and a lovely atmosphere.
It is so disappointing to hear of the noise complaints, I understand that things like this cause mixed feedback but it’s once a year! The complaints lead to Three Rivers staff having to check music levels every half hour to be able to report back on the levels. What a waste of money!!
There are so few events that are free and to such a high standard but remain to have a local feel. It’s lovely to see, and yes there are a few drunken people but it’s so well Policed and Stewards around that there is a safe and controlled feel. Alcohol is always an issue, however if your sensible you can enjoy your day.

  360. Amazing day – great atmosphere perfect for us with 2 kids (6 and 8). Big thank you to all those amazing people volunteering to help and thank you of course to organisers and sponsors. ! Look forward to next years!

  361. A great afternoon; thanks to all those involved in organising and running such a brilliant local music event. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and safe ( helped by a good balance between discrete and visible policing/stewarding ).
The bands were all a really good standard, with a wide range of genres to keep everyone happy. All of them had obviously worked hard on their sets which confirms that they respect the growing status of this event as much as their audience. Many thanks to them all.
Sorry to hear that there had been complaints about sound levels. To those unhappy with the event, I would say that it’s only one day a year, it’s a great focus for local ( and not so local ) families and it puts Croxley Green on the map for a positive reason.
Can’t wait to see the pictures from the drone – where are they being posted???

  362. Had an excellent day with my young family and friends, the bands were great, the atmosphere was wonderful, have been every year and every year gets better. Thank you for organising it.

  363. We came from Watford with our 1yr old daughter for our first Croxfest. We didn’t know what to expect, but arrived just before midday intending to stay an hour or two. We stayed until 4pm when we reluctantly had to leave to get our daughter home for tea etc. We had a fantastic time, enjoying the wide variety of music, browsing the stalls and meeting and chatting to people. Everybody we met was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Croxley is very lucky to have such a fantastic free event, and to have the community support to put on such an event. We do not have anything in Watford that compares. Well done Croxfest team! We loved it and hope to come next year!

  364. Another absolutely brilliant Croxfest best yet! Thank you to all involved setting up and taking down from start to finish so professional and yet again a truly family event! So good to see friends I haven’t seen for a few years! Loving seeing friends play on stage! Everyone was clearing up at the end just shows how people care about this event. Can’t wait for next year!

  365. This was a lovely treat for the kids after being back at school, real community feel and plenty for everyone. Especially enjoyed the country band that were on and the rock band. Please say thank you to the red headed singer from the rock band who made my little one’s day by signing an autograph and chatting to them. They want to know if her band will be back next year, you have to or I’ll never heard the end of it!

  366. Once again Croxfest has been a huge success. A lovely, friendly atmosphere with no trouble. Bands were great, especially the Informers! The fact that it’s for everyone, even those with dogs and children is great. If I wasn’t allowed to bring my dog, we wouldn’t be able to come for the day from Bucks. This type if event would never happen in my village which is a terrible shame. I hope Croxfest continues for many years to come!

  367. Well done for putting on an amazing event. We really enjoyed ourselves and next year I will be telling all my friends to come along as I thought everything about it was fab.

  368. What a brilliant event – CroxFest was fantastic this year! It’s so well organised, we’re very impressed that it’s all run by volunteers. There was a great range of music for all tastes, and all ages in our group had a great day out – it gets better each year. We are very lucky to have such a great event for the community in Croxley – long may it continue.

  369. My first croxfest and amazed at the organisation! But mainly the sense of community that it brings something for this town to be proud of instead of all the negative publicity x such a well behaved crowd and great so see people collecting rubbish at the end! Long may it continue!!!

  370. Superb community event – very well organised. Really enjoyed Swan Vesta Social Club! Found the whole day really inspiring, and look forward to next year.

  371. Another great Croxfest, really well organised and a real family friendly/community event. Music wise the bands were the best yet – there was something for everyone. Thank you so much to the people who arrange it all – long may it continue.

  372. We have been coming for at least 3 years. What a great event, thanks to the Carters and the Croxfest team for a great day out. We still follow Chasing Grace from last year and am sure others will follow in their footsteps to greater things. Loved the Swanvesta’s and fab to see local musicians in so many different bands and different roles aka Spike Webb! Keep it up and ban Mr Beattie :-))) Cheers.

  373. I had a fantastic day the whole event had been organised with such precision. Great bands great sound. Well done to all !!

  374. CROXFEST was a well organized event. I spoke to many people who wanted to see this event to go from strength to stremgth. I was told I missed the best band. Well done to everyone who made this a great community event. I left the London Double Header early to get back to Three Rivers for my first ever CROXFEST. Thank you to all the sponsors.

  375. It’s free, it’s fun, it’s a fabulous day out for adults and children of all ages. All I saw as 5000 people having a great time in a totally relaxed and trouble free environment. As long as the Green is returned to a pristine state afterwards, I don’t see the problem. To be frank, it is probably going to be cleaner afterwards that it would normally be. Why do people drop litter day in, day out? Anyway, well done to the organisers for a great event.

  376. The organisers, volunteers & stewards did a great job. Noise didn’t bother anyone I know and I live close by! It was a lovely crowd, we saw no trouble and plenty of families enjoying themselves. Great standard of bands, Nameless Three and Rock Remedy were by far the best. I have been to all Croxfests and this one was the best by a long way. Thank you!

  377. A super day out meeting up with friends. Non-stop fun for all ages. Third year and hope it will continue. Such a friendly safe environment… we could relax and enjoy the show without worrying about our 8 year old. Bumped into old friends which made the day even better!! Keep up the good work and ignore the moaners – they’re the minority!

  378. Errm – “pub bands”! What does the Cassio moaner expect to see at a free local festival – Pink Floyd, Clapton, Rolling Stones, Kasabian? Or maybe, One Direction!!!?? Anyway, many of these ” pub musicians” could knock some bigger names into a cocked hat. I enjoyed the quality of the bands and the great sound system. A decent volume without keeping the sensitive ones awake during their afternoon snooze!! We could use a beer tent though!!

  379. I have to say the event was fantastic, my family and I have moved to the Croxley 5 years ago, we’ve loved living here ever since, a real family feel. We went to Croxfest last year and had fun, this year, we invited friends from outside the area to come with us and made a day of it. We had a lovely picnic, listened to great music, we chatted and met loads of local people to Croxley and had a super day – our friends could not believe what a wonderful community vibe we have in Croxley! Thanks so much for all your effort to organise a super event, it’s really appreciated and here’s to many more years to come!

  380. What a brilliant event Croxfext was this year, great to see the community coming together, young & old. Thank you to all the organisers, volunteers & bands….looking forward to next year!

  381. what a fantastic event, great bands and atmosphere, massive thanks to all that were involved,
we had a real blast playing and would love to do it again.
    cheers
    TRF X

  382. Great event once again – fantastic family atmosphere and gathering of the croxley community of all ages – looking forward to next year!

  383. Awesome event! My second time at Croxfest and loved it. Rock Remedy were the best band by far. Thanks to everyone who helped organise the day. Can’t wait for next year!!

  384. What a brilliant afternoon we had. Superb Bands, great vibe and great to catch up with good friends. Came down from Suffolk for the day just for Croxfest with my kids. Looking forward to next year. The Informers were awesome as usual.

  385. What a fantastic day! Croxfest just gets better & better…….Please don’t let one grumpy old sod complaining about noise levels stop hundreds of people enjoying the hardwork of many. Thank you all those involved in setting this up & packing it away. Thank you.

  386. This is a fabulous family festival, and one of the best organised that I have been to. The standard of music was really high. I’ll definatley be back next year.

  387. First time at Croxfest, brought some friends with me (also first timers) and absouloutly loved it.
Great also to see so many families enjoying music in a safe environment.

  388. Best local festival iv been too! Bands were awesome, well organised, and lighting and sound was spot on! roll on a bigger and better event next year!

  389. My first Croxfest and we are already planning for next year! Amazing day-fun, free and family friendly. Croxley should be proud of themselves for putting on such a well
    Organised event.

  390. The best local event ever!!!!! Loved spending time up on the green with my family and friends, enjoying the local talent.
Cant wait for next year 🙂

  391. What a brilliant day!Croxfest just gets better & better…….Please don’t let a few grumpy people complaining about noise levels stop hundreds of people enjoying the hardwork of many. They should put headphones on if they don’t like it… I say turn it up! Thanks to all those involved in setting this up & packing it away. Can’t wait for next year , thank you.

  392. Amazing family event. Great time had by all. Will be counting down until next year. Very well executed lots of crew members safe controlled environment loved every minute!

  393. Fantastic Event, lots of hard work and commitment put into this event by volunteers but it is truly evident on the day.
You should all be very proud of yourselves.
Well Done on a live, local and free event.

  394. Im still raving about the event to my friends and family that didnt go… they are stupid to miss such a great event!!!
There is always next year 🙂 Cant wait!!!

  395. A really enjoyable day out for all the family. Plenty of room to set up your chairs, blankets, cool boxes and enjoy lots of great music for free. Plentiful, clean loo facilities, great food stalls and even a play area right at the back (away from the music) for the little ones. I’m from Nottingham but my in-laws are from Croxley, and I have to say – we don’t have anything like this at home. People are friendly, helpful and genuine – a real sense of community during the whole day. The volunteers & organizers did a cracking job. Thanks to them all, and of course the bands who made the music!
I hope that Croxfest continues for a long time. The music was NOT too loud and those protesting about it ought to try stepping outside their little bubble and joining in – they might just get a big surprise when they realise they’re enjoying themselves!!
    Thank you Croxfest!

  396. Thank you for a really great afternoon, we all had a great time. We were there with our disabled son and were really pleasantly surprised to have been approached by someone on the team to ask if there is anything that you could have done to make our day a bit easier. The two things we talked about mainly were the lack of privacy for changing and the difficulty in getting a wheelchair up on to the green from the Baldwins Lane end. Even without these, it didn’t spoil our day! Thank you.

  397. First time playing at Croxfest but very impressed with the teamwork and attitude of all the backstage and support workers. Good planning and facilities, welcoming staff and competent crew. No wonder it’s so popular with the local people. An excellent, family-friendly festival.

  398. What a splendid day for young old and anyone inbetween!
Great choice of food, lots of free things to keep little ones amused and a lovely church were even giving out free water and chocolate! What’s not to like!
    Really well organised!
Was my first visit to the festival, certainly won’t be the last, looking forward to next year already!

  399. Excellent afternoon! Bands were great and the volunteers were brilliant. Have attended every Croxfest to date and sincerely hope it continues. Well done and thank you!

  400. Amazing event for croxley hope to see many years of this event community spirit is fantastic and great for businesses to get their names out there well done to all the organisers, businesses and bands that gave their time for free!!!! What an amazing day for all ages!!!!

  401. Thoroughly enjoyed it. A wonderful afternoon sat on the green listening to music with friends. Well done and thank you to all involved.

  402. Excellent again this year! Wonderful day, excellent community atmosphere & fabulous bands! Well done to the organisers & awsome volunteers!

  403. amazing day, well organised, lots of musical talent and happy families, what more could we ask for?
well done, here’s to next year!

  404. A fantastic event, was so well organised, i saw police walking round the whole day so it was such a safe enviroment for all. It was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, there were barriers all round so extra reassurance that children were especially safe, lots to do for kids, a great variety of food and stalls. It also gives local bands a great opertunity to play in an fantastic enviroment
It’s a shame that people feel they need to complain about such a positive community event, that is FREE, SAFE, finished promptly at 8pm, is cleaned up and The Green is back to how it was before, brings the community together and is just once a year!

  405. I have been to every croxfest, this one was the best! Well done to all involved, thank you for giving many people a wonderful day. Rock remedy – what a great band, but my mate Bob didn’t do badly with the Informers either!! I know licensing is difficult but a beer tent would be good…. 😉

  406. Well done to the organisers, volunteers, bands and community crowd, another brilliant day its our third time and would not miss it. Looking forward to next year

  407. Croxfest 2014 – What an amazing day, Great music, great company, great fun. Thanks very much to all the organisers & volunteers who make this wonderful family event happen for the rest of us. Lots of smiling faces to be seen and a great way to see the whole community enjoying themselves as, well, a community! not enough of that happens these days.
Please, please do not let one miserable kill joy ruin it for the rest of us. if you are reading this, and it really bothers you that much, go out for the day. It’s only 8 hours out of the whole year for goodness sake!!!
Roll on next year can’t wait!

  408. Had a great time! Really family friendly. Great atmosphere and music. Appreciated the free water being handed out too 🙂 A really lovely community event!

  409. My 2nd Croxfest and very much enjoyed it. Lovely family event with great music. Well done to all and many thanks for the free water which was greatly appreciated, the free balloons and Runaround Rascals that kept our little ones entertained. Thanks for a great day, look forward to next year!

  410. fab fab and fab as always….enjoyed by me for my 50th, my mum 70th and grandaughter 10…..lovely, friendly, family orientated as always xxxx roll on next year xxxx

  411. I came to the Croxfest with all my family and we all had an absolutely amazing time!!! We loved the music, the atmosphere, seeing lots of old faces and lots of friends! It was great for the community and getting all the people of croxley to come together! A great family day out! Xx

  412. What a great day out for all the family, good weather and fantastic entertainment and a bit of fund raising too. If you had the opportunity to walk around you could see gazebos, picnics and several generations enjoying themselves together. Quite a lot of the public helped with rubbish collection at the end, which speaks volumes. Special thanks to all behind the scenes.

  413. Another fabulous Croxfest, I don’t konw of any other free, well organised, family friendly music event that is run nearby (or at all). Incredible that it is free and run by volunteers, I’ve paid to go to less organised festivals. We were there from 4pm and saw the last four bands all of which were amazing. Such a fantastic atmosphere, especially at the end when the sun went down and the Informers took to the stage. Three Rivers should be thanking the organisors for making this end of summer event such a success for the whole local community. Well done everyone and please, please, please continue!

  414. Fantastic gig to play at. The atmosphere is so welcoming and all the staff where extremely helpful and welcoming to my band. We all didn’t want to get off the stage! And the sound was perfect. Everything was so clear! Thanks for having us guys we really loved playing and we will be back next year to check out the bands you have picked 🙂

  415. Really enjoyed the Informers and Rock remedy! Sound system was great! all complainers need to cheer up and come to croxfest next year!

  416. This was my first croxfest. Whole family really enjoyed it. Very safe atmosphere. Bands were great. Definitely back next year!

  417. We hadnt been to the festival before and really enjoyed it. It was well managed and the music was good. Thanks to the organisers. We’ll be back next year.

  418. Congratulations to the team on organising another brilliant event!
I have to say, from both a visitor and a sponsor perspective – extremely impressed with how well managed the event is, both pre-event and on the day.
I sincerely hope Croxfest can continue for many years to come!

  419. First time I’ve attended croxfest and really enjoyed it. Saw a great mix of bands, who were all good. It was a brilliant way to introduce live music to my 2 young daughters. But more importantly it was a fantastic event for the whole community. Can’t wait for next year. Thanks for all your hard work.

  420. Second year of going to Croxfest and it was as good if not better this time round, great music, great people and a bonus of decent weather again, roll on next year

  421. Fab day enjoyed by people of all ages from tiny tots to people about to hit 100. Well organised and a great day out. It’s really nice to see such great community spirit in action. And its one of the many factors that makes.croxley great. Well done to the organisers. Same again next year….

  422. This was our first experience as sponsors of the Bouncy Castle area at Croxfest and we enjoyed the experience so much! We were run off our feet applying temporary ‘We Love Croxfest’ tattoos to what seemed like half of WD3 but the energy of everyone involved, the super organising and the great community spirit it unfolds is a pleasure to be part of and we look forward already to 2015! We might just have a few more staff on hand to help out next year! 🙂

  423. So lucky to live in Croxley – what a brilliant community event! Thank you organisers & sponsors – my whole family … young & old … love it!!

  424. Hi, Saturday was our first visit to Croxfest so I can’t compare it to previous years, but I’ve been to lots of local music festivals so have something to compare the day to.
Croxfest has a great family vibe about it. It feels safe; there were lots of stewards there, a couple of PCSOs and I felt comfortable there with my kids. Lots of people enjoying a drink, but no groups of loud intimidating drunks, just a friendly atmosphere.
The music was varied, the sound system was clear and wasn’t too loud. Nice to see some really good talented musicians, a nice mix of originals and covers, and nothing offensive.
    Well done guys.

  425. As usual an AMAZING event. This has to be allowed to continue.
Great bands, thousands of people from far and wide, Runaround Rascals were FANTASTIC free softplay, bouncy castle and face painting, those ladies deserve a medal. Great family event, great atmosphere, you cannot get better than this.

  426. Fantastic family friendly event. Extremely well organised – thank you to all the volunteers who make this event happen to the benefit of all the community. They should be congratulated for ensuring our community has such an asset to enjoy and raising funds for charity at the same time. Thank goodness they had the tenacity to battle their way through the bureaucracy of TRDC for the good of us all! Roll on Croxfest 2015!!

  427. Best Croxfest so far. Well organised. Lots of cover songs mixed with bands own stuff. Very family freindly. Only one critism, my children 15, 13 & 7 all complained not enough more modern music. Saying that definately back next year.

  428. This was our second Croxfest, and a gang of us met up there to picnic, chat, enjoy the bands, the atmosphere, the safe family, dog and child friendly environment, and fabulous weather.
So well organised, great bands, excellent community led day out. Loved it, 2 day event next year?!!! Thank you for superb organisation, good toilets, recycling and great parking. Loved it see you next year!

  429. What a fab family, community event enjoyed by all ages from young children upwards. Lets hope TRDC finally recognise the value of such an event and support it going forward. I understand £2400 was raised for charity in addition to all the free activities provided. Well done to the sponsors and volunteers for making it possible.

  430. A brilliant, fun, community event. Long may Croxfest continue, delivering good live music and raising money for good causes. I believe there are one or two nimbys who have a problem with it….. please don’t let the party-spoilers ruin it for the thousands who support Croxfest.

  431. What an all-round fabulous day! Fun, sun, families and friends all having a great time – what else could you wish for?! The biggest bonus of all was the music – some great bands and dancing all afternoon – roll on next year’s Croxfest! Thank you and well done to all who organised the event and put in so much hard work to make it a such a success.

  432. Thank you to Croxfest for a really fantastic day, once again. There was a fabulous community feeling and it was lovely to see so many friends and family enjoying the atmosphere and the music. Looking forward to next year already!

  433. Fantastic family day out, the best event on the Green, great to meet up with family and friend and listen to some good music. Looking forward to next year already.

  434. Absolutely awesome day. Lovely community and family spirit. The bands were amazing. So proud to live in Croxley. Thank you!

  435. love it love it love it! I look forward to it all year! micheal beattie should invest in some ear plugs and stop trying to ruin ever ones fun!

  436. Croxfest was a roaring success again, as always. My family and I had a lovely day. It’s such a well-organised event with a fantastic atmosphere. I grew up in Croxley but have since moved away, I love bumping into people I haven’t seen for years. It’s also great to get the whole community out together and listening to some incredible local talent. Roll on Croxfest 2015.

  437. Great Day brilliant music fantastic atmosphere.
Don’t ban dogs I brought my two well behaved dogs we had loads of kids stroking them this made to the family atmosphere they were on a lead or on their blanket they cause no-one any problem. If you have dogs off leads wandering I do agree this should not be allowed.

  438. Fantastic day of fun, drinking, dancing and laughter! All my family loved it including the children! Very well organised and The Informers were the best band by far. Can’t wait till next year!

  439. Fabulous day of family fun, live music and entertainment.
A real community spirit bringing everyone together. Fantastically organised and I for one will attend next year to show my support. Thankyou for a fabulous afternoon and evening of fun.

  440. We had a fantastic time with family and friends. All the bands were great. Thank you to Andy and all the volunteers who put on this brilliant event each year. Long live Croxfest!

  441. I had the pleasure of playing Croxfest this year and what a fantastic experience it was. The sound was crystal clear and the whole event was highly organised from beginning to end. Lovely to see many people having a good time, all the bands were top notch. I would not hesitate to do it again, so much fun. Hats off to all involved, you’re hard work is really appreciated. Long may Croxfest continue.

  442. Attended Croxfest for 1st time this year …Bands were good …good selection of food stalls … parking was good …Great that kids could ALSO have I.D. wrist bands AND totaly free off charge …lovely area …only thing i wouldve liked to of seen as there is at most events ive attended like this is a cold Beer tent … will be back next year ! 🙂

  443. The hours and hours of hard work by EVERYONE involved with CroxFest is worth every minute when we hear and read you massive support of the event.
We are all so proud of CroxFest but more importantly YOU for making the day what it is.
Without you we’d have an empty Green! The best CroxFest to date in my eyes.
    Well done everyone.
    Big Stu
    CroxFest MC

  444. Thank you so much to the Croxfest team for another amazing day. The music was good quality and varied, the facilities were great and the whole vibe made me proud to be part of Croxley. Good one guys 😀

  445. Fantastic! Yet again Croxfest improves on the previous year, been to all Croxfests and don’t plan on stopping.
Thank you to every single volunteer who helped make the day what it was, just brilliant!
Thank you to all the bands, great mix and top quality entertainment right down the order.
Thank you to all those who attended both from Croxley and those from outside the area by behaving impeccably and treating our village with respect.

  446. The atmosphere of the day was amazing for both adults and children and there was something offered for everyone in the stalls. Everyone at the stalls were nice apart from one man on a stall who was rude to my eleven year old brother. However apart from the that, the rest of the day was a joy and the bands were amazing.

  447. Fantastic. The line up has got better each year, well done! However it’s not just the music, it’s a great day for us all to get together. Thank you for an excellent day

  448. Thank you for a wonderful day…..first time we have been, absolutely wonderful event….looking forward to next year already!

  449. awesome day, not just because we raised a fantastic amont of money for the dogs trust and the amount of rehoming advice and awareness we gave out , but very well organised day, great line up of acts, just hope we can attend next year

  450. I came along with my husband and our four year old daughter. We had an amazing time at Croxfest 2015. The bouncy castle and games were enjoyed by my daughter and the choice of food was excellent. The highlight for us was Tailgator! They were incredible! Can’t wait for next years Croxfest! Well done to all involved in the organising of such a successful festival. You guys rock 🙂

  451. Brilliant event – great bands – fantastic atmosphere – well organised – typically Croxley Green – same again next year?

    The audience were great too!

We hope you guys have raised a lot of money for the local causes and lets hope you have many more events. Cheers!

  453. Was a very good afternoon. Good mix of music. Great to see a young very local group – did really well. Missed the charity collectors. Wish more local businesses would attend. Hope The Kitchen Croxley get a good result for all their effort. Fair play to Top Golf too.

  454. Another great day on The Green. Was good to hear heavier band on the bill and hope this will continue in next years Croxfest.
Well done to everyone involved, and a great charity as well.

  455. Another amazing day. Great variety of bands all of whom were brilliant. Can’t wait for next year. Hard to choose fave band as they were all so good however the turner brothers did it for me

  456. Croxfest just gets better and better! Despite the weather everyone was still out in force with families and friends enjoying another brilliant day out for all ages! I especially loved my chat with the elderly couple who were sat on a blanket at the front watching Meansteed. They said they thought they were marvellous! I love this about Croxfest! There’s something for everyone and everyone us just there to have a brilliant day! Cannot wait for next year!

  457. Love Croxfest. We go every year – the whole family look forward to it. Was another great day – thank you so much for organising such a great day. Roll on next year!

  461. What a fabulous afternoon. Great live music. The organisation was second to none as always. Don’t ever stop Croxfest. Highlights for me was The Nashvillains and Tailgator

  462. Smashing afternoon..something for every taste..Team Croxfest you did us proud! So good to see a local event for all those Croxley folk. What a huge feeling of LOVE !

  463. Loved Croxfest! Valens were my favourite and will be returning next year if they are there for sure.

Great atmosphere, lovely to see young people and families all out and dancing even though it wasn’t as warm as we had hoped.

I don’t know if this is feasible but a cashpoint would of been popular if there was one. (If there was one there, apologies but I couldn’t find one)

  464. Attended first time. Really exceeded expectations. High quality bands and loads of stalls. See you next year.

  465. Congratulations to Stephen Crabtree and the brilliant team who put together this years event. All were incredibly friendly and happy throughout, a great team both backstage and front of house. The artists were all exceptionally good entertainment, with an outstanding set from THE TURNER BROTHERS working their magic for the grand finale to the show! Thank you Croxfest.

  466. Another fantastic music event x it just gets better every year x well done to all the organisers and volunteers for all your hard work xx

  467. What a fabulous day. The amount of hard work that must have gone into Croxfest is mind boggling. Tail-Gator were delighted to play and hope everyone enjoyed our set. We certainly enjoyed standing out front and watching some very talented musicians throughout the day. Defo going next year. Thank you.

  468. What a great day out .fantastic bands and great people there A big thankyou & well done to the team who put this together …..see you all next year…

  469. Great afternoon as ever 🙂 good selection of music to please all comers. Possibly a little biased but Meansteed were brilliant despite being quite nervous of their reception. And big Stu was an ace compere as ever, can we get him a spangly waistcoat for next year so we can spot him easily 😉

  470. Yet again, a well organised event with a really lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Many, many thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it happen.

  475. Thank you to all the people who made croxfest once again an amazing event. Great atmosphere. Great bands and fun time had by all. Can’t wait to attend in 2016

  476. Five Fold Kiss were my favourite band, they were the first band to bring the crowd down to the front and lots of people were dancing.

  477. Great job in organising, thanks!
Please continue pushing for bigger and better!!
All the bands were great, keep aiming for bigger, well known bands to headline whilst offering support slots to local artists!

  478. Great afternoon lobed Tailgator they know how to rock!!!! tell me the video recording done is there any availability to get my hands on?

  479. All the bands were great but I thought StreetCar9 played some great crowd-pleasing vibes just as the sun came out, which was perfect.

  480. The Turner Brothers was the best for me.. Made my day.. Its was good up until they come on stage, and they just took it to the next level.
Great discovery for me.. Looking forward to see them next year

  481. The Turner Brothers are the best band I’ve seen in years so no competition I’m afraid. Dancing , singing and having a great time is what you get every time with The Turner Brothers.

  482. The Turner Brothers were definitely the best band, brilliant end to a brilliant day…. I hope they will be there next year!!

  483. It was a great day but both my children and I loved the Turner Brothers – they got everyone dancing and left us leaving on a high!

  487. Saw first 6 bands until weather turned sour – loved it, such talented musicians and a good eclectic mix – really well organised & we will come again!

  488. Fabulous day! Thank you from CVSS for the opportunity of an Awareness pitch. We were able to engage with lots of people who showed an interest in sailing and volunteering with us whilst enjoying some great music!

  489. BROCKER had a brilliant time playing. Very grateful to be invited. I bumped into some good musical buddies, the crew were fantastically accommodating and the crowd all great sports come rain or shine

  490. Today was the first Croxfest we’ve been to. I stumbled across it on the internet by chance. We were totally blown away by both the music and friendliness of everyone there. The rain didn’t matter, the organisation was spot on, we’ll be back next year with all our friends. Keep up the good work guys!!

  491. Had a brilliant day, stayed dry (mostly) under our gazebo. Loads to do for the children and the bands were all fantastic.
Will definitely be returning again next year. x

  492. A really good day … band after band worth watching. Good food & good you can bring your own drinks. Well organised & great fun. First time there will definitely be back next year 🙂

  493. Croxfest was as wonderful as ever. Well done to the crew, the bands – and everyone who danced in the rain! See you next year xx

  494. Brilliant event, continuing from similar previous experience. Great bands, great mix of genres – something for everyone – and great organisation. Proper community event reaching out to every sector of the community. Great effort…

  495. Team Frankland Road had a fantastic time, singing and dancing in the rain to Our Fiends Electric & Delorean. Superb family event – well done everyone!

  496. Well done to everyone who organised such a great event, despite the weather we were there till the end. Great for friends, family and the community.

  497. Another brilliant day of fabulous music, thanks Croxfest Crew for all the hard work you put in, shame the weather wasn’t on side but hopefully next year normal sunshine service will resume! Rock on Croxfest 2017! 🙂

  498. Yet again, what an amazing event! I managed to encourage three friends, one from Milton Keynes and two from North London to come down to Croxfest yesterday. Despite the rain, they all had a great time (as did I) and are all keen for more next year, so PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN AGAIN!!! I particularly enjoyed the set from “Brocker”, so keep up the good work and see you again in 2017

  499. Thanks so much for having us at Croxfest! It was great to be part of such a brilliant, professional and well organised event. We were made to feel very welcome and treated to the best back-stage hospitality we’ve had all summer. Shame about the weather, but that’s the lottery of the English climate (rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling, down, down…). We hope to be asked to return in the future to do it all again! Dan (Our Friends Electric).

  500. Fantastic again! Thanks to everyone involved, it was an amazing event

Stayed all day, couldn’t have cared less about the rain! Long may Croxfest continue, here’s to 2017!

  501. In spite of the weather Croxfest was a really fun day. Well organised with a great line up of bands. Glad so many people stayed thoughout the rain to support the acts.
Absolutely loved Our Friends Electric! Aswell as Ska Faces and Soul Enforcement Bureau.

  502. As always, a really well organised professional family event. Great mix of quality bands. Thanks so much to all the volunteers who put in so much time over the past six years. Till next year, thanks so much!

  503. Great event as always. Bands were brilliant – we especially liked Our Friends Electric and Delorean. Shame about the weather but we put up umbrellas and put on waterproofs and we were fine – that’s the British climate for you! We’ve been every year and our kids wouldn’t forgive us if we missed it – it’s always a great family day. Looking forward to next year!

  504. Thanks to all you guys and girls for all the hard work you have done to stage this magnificent event . It gets better every year , great job done
    and roll on Croxfest 2017

  505. I take my hat off to the organisers and all the people that makes this wonderful event happen! Looking forward to Croxfest 2017.

  506. Never had been to Croxfest before So didn’t know what to expect. I thought being a free local festival the music would be mediocre how wrong was I.
The music was fantastic the organization was fantastic. Roll on 2017 looking forward to another great day.
    Well done to everyone involved.

  507. Another fantastic Croxfest despite the weather! Well done to all the bands especially The Wild Minds who considering their age and first performance have a bright future! A massive thank you to all behind the scenes who work tirelessly throughout the year to bring us such an amazing event! Looking forward to next year. P.S can we all pray for at least dry weather!

  508. I grew up in Croxley Green, but i moved to Norfolk 8 years ago. This will be the third year i have travelled down especially for the Croxfest. I think what the organisers do is absolutely outstanding, it’s brings the whole community together, and thats what growing up in Croxley Green was all about, everyone knew everyone, we all looked out for each other, that is what i see every year i have attended the Croxfest, families coming together, the kids playing together (regardless of the rain,) and everyone was enjoying themselves, it was great to witness the community at its best. Well done Croxfest team, each and everyone of you are a credit to your community!! Keep up the good work, see you next year!!!!!
I think its an absolute shame that people feel they need to complain, it’s once a year and finishes at 8pm! Go to the theatre for the night, get out and enjoy yourself, life is too short to moan about the petty things in life!

  509. What another fantastic day at Croxfest. Such a shame about the weather but we held out until 5:15 but little ones started to get too cold and wet.
The music was awesome, the free bouncy castle was my 5 year olds favourite.
We have two young children and it was great to meet up with friends, the children headed to the stage to dance and play and we all enjoyed the great mix of music. Keep up the good work Croxfest. It’s so good to see the community come together, families and friends of young and old out enjoying time together in the fresh air and enjoy some decent music.
    Can’t wait until next year!!!!!

  510. Mummy wrote this for me as I am 5:
I love the music, I had good fun dancing with my school friends.
I like the bouncy castle. I had my face painted with purple flowers… My favourite colour.
Mummy says we can go again next year and I can’t wait.
Going to practice my dance moves to be ready!!

  511. Best one yet! The music was really good. Shame the weather did not stay dry. We had a brilliant time. We were a party of 12 including 3 children. We had a gazebo which helped but once the kids got wet we had to go. Thank you to all the organisers. Fantastic. Keeps getting better. It’s now on our must do every year list.

  512. Our first time at Croxfest and we will definitely be back next year – a great family event, brilliantly organised and fab music from some very talented bands.

  513. We had a great time! We came when our daughter was 1 a couple of years ago and this year took her and and our 1.5 yr old son. Both loved it! They love to dance, run around with no care in the world! A great family day out! Can’t wait for next year, thank you to all who help plan the event, participate in it (from the car park attendants to singers and everyone else).

  514. Great day again. Superb organisation and great atmosphere. The quality and mix of the bands were top drawer. Long live Croxfest.

  515. Thank you for inviting us ( The Ska Faces ) to play. What a great festival. Brilliantly organised and a great family day out. What a top crew who looked after us and made us feel very welcome. We had a brilliant time. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.

  516. Great mix of music as ever and plenty of people enjoying themselves, despite the rain later on!
A brilliant local festival and long may it continue.

  517. It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to play at Croxfest again this year …as always the crew were more than helpful, the crowd were wonderful (thanks to everyone who braved the downpours!) and the atmosphere was as electric as ever. Thank you and keep up the great work, everyone!

  518. Thanks to Andy and all the organisers for putting on such a fantastic and well organised event and giving The Wild Minds this valuable opportunity to play their first ever gig. A privilege for them to be a part of it.

  519. Another Brilliant Croxfest!!! Rain? what rain? Stayed to the end all the bands were fantastic but especially loved Our Friends Elecrtic and the ‘mighty’ DeLorean! Well done to everyone involved!! Roll on Croxfest 2017!!!

  520. WHAT an event !!!!!! – BRILLIANT – my first time there and I LOVED every bit of it. The bands did their very best to entertain us. My mobility problems certainly did not STOP me from rocking/rolling in my chair. THREE CHEERS for the new entries, and hopefully NEXT year will be an IMMENSE pleasure as did this one. The ONLY complaint I have is that rain the stopped play – something quite out of our hands, otherwise I must compliment the staff on duty, the young cadets who conducted themselves very well in ensuring that the parking of cars went smoothly. To the parents who came with their children and took good care of them – it was so good to see the youngsters running around/some dancing – AND, a mention here of the well behaved dogs – the ones I saw were so well behaved and to their owners who ensured that their pets were on the lead, and I also saw some dogs were also muzzled. On the whole the event was INDEED very good. Hope to be there next year. I have read some of the comments below and these make good reading.

  521. What a fantastic family day. So well organised and the bands were brilliant. Dancing in the rain to friends electric – little grandson age 2 and granddad age 65. Highlight of the year and an annual outing. Thanks to everyone for making this great day possible and looking forward to many years of Croxfest to come. Xx

  522. What a fantastic day and evening! Despite the rain, we rocked ’til we dropped all day long!

Some great bands throughout the day! The highlight for us was the last band Delorean – seriously talented guys, but would have liked to hear them play for longer!

Thanks to everyone for making this day happen, we’ll be back next year come rain or shine!

  523. Arnold our Dog loved his 1st Croxfest 🙂 and brought along his own camping chair for the day and after being some of the very first there to get our spot we stayed till all but the end in the rain .. What a fab day – great job with the organisation of the event and all of the Bands were fab ..we originally came to see The Ska faces but right from the opening act.. those fab young girls rocked it and all the acts throughout the day made it a great day to have a good old dance and a sing along to .. can’t wait for next year 🙂 Thank you CROXFEST 2016

  524. Thank you. Every year it just gets better. From rhe very young to the fairly old (and all ages in-between it); CroxFest brings our community together for a fine end of summer celebration.
Great organisation and excellent crowd pleasing bands.
    Thank you so much

  525. Croxfest is a truly amazing event. All the planning, organising and running of the event carried out by all the unpaid volunteers for our community is beyond words. It’s events like this that keep the community spirit together. With it being free event it’s accessible for everyone and this is important especially in an era where everything has a price tag. Keep up the good work, everything you do is appreciated.

  526. Been my fourth visit to croxfest. Great day out for all. Very well organised great groups and great music. I would and have highly recommended the event. Well done to all who participate and organise this great day.

  527. Been every year just gets better and better..celebrated my Birthday this year despite the rain..Brilliant Thankyou ☔️

  528. Croxfest just keeps getting better. Loved it from start to finish!! A friendly atmosphere, it’s great to see young and old all enjoying a proper community event. Great bands, I particularly enjoyed The Imaginary Hat, Brocker and Our Friends Electric. A massive well done to all the organisers – can’t wait until next year!!

  529. Very well done to all concerned. It was a lovely day and great to see so many people of all ages enjoying the great music. Thankyou.

  530. We are so lucky in Croxley to have such a wonderful free event. Fantastic to have dry weather and a huge crowd All enjoying the music! Our Friends Electric were brilliant last year in the pouring rain so it was fantastic they had the chance to return and headline! They were amazing and a perfect finale to a perfect day! Thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make it happen!

  531. Thanks for an amazing event, we really enjoyed playing yesterday. It was a well organised friendly show and we appreciate all the hard work that went into organizing it. We really appreciated the snacks and drinks in the green room. Good weather good food and good music.

  532. Thoroughly enjoyed Croxfest. The organisers should be extremely proud to have produced such a fantastic event. It was so lovely looking around and seeing so many happy faces, young and old. Congratulations!

  533. Brilliant day. Great music and so well organised. One of the highlights was the security guy at the stage who kicked the beach ball back into the crowd Beckham style. Friends electric were great.

  534. my first time at croxfest and what a brilliant day great bands and so very well organised and all of it for free absolutely brilliant big well done for putting on such a great event

  535. Been to everyone so far and it was amazing. Great mix of music, great stalls especially for the kids. Organistion of event was superb. Thanks to mother nature for supplying the sun!

  536. Another great day at Croxfest. What a fabulous family event. Sun, music, friends and a couple of beers. Long may it continue. Thanks to all the volunteers who make this happen.

  537. Great job to everyone involved – very, very well organised by a bunch of very dedicated people.
    Bring on Croxfest 2018!

  538. Fantastic day for everyone. Thanks to all those involved in putting this together for us! I’d like to know another village in the country that could put on a festival of this kind! Well done and let’s hope the weathers as good in 2018!

  539. Fantastic day again. Well done all those who volunteered. Bands weren’t for me though. Not enough rock in my opinion but that’s just me

  540. We had a stall again this year ‘Frankie’s Facepaints’ and it was definitely the best year yet. Brilliantly organised and a great atmosphere. I have to say the last band that was on (sorry can’t remember the name as was painting when it was announced) were the best ever! Great songs, great musicians! Well done Croxfest see you next year!!

  541. It was our first time, and my kids’ (and my mum’s! ) first festival! We trekked all the way from South Fulham, walked from the tube station carrying a picnic and beer, but it was well worth it! Congratulations to the crew!

  542. Excellent organisation coupled with warm weather provided us with a great day.s entertainment ! Loved the variety of bands to suit all genres of music. The best one yet!

  543. Hello team

Whilst we weren’t performing this year, have to say Croxfest 2017 was possibly the best one yet! Amazing atmosphere, great bands and the wonderful weather helped. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put in over the course of the year to make it happen… long may Croxfest continue!

    Gav (from Colvex)

  544. It was brilliant! Maybe you could add in a croxfest 5k people could raise sponsor money to help further support the event

  545. awesome day, awesome bands, awesome atmosphere, well done to everyone involved in organising it. cant wait for next year

  546. A great day out, well organised and trouble free. Am definitely going next year but will be better organised. Thank you everyone that made the day possible

  547. Can you tell me who I can contact about lost property please?

PS. Thanks organising another brilliant day, the bands were fantastic!

  548. I enjoyed listening to the festival whilst I worked in my Garden.

Next year please can we have more local bands there are many who apply each year but never get a look in. Who decides and what are the criteria?

I myself played in a band in the early 70s and wished there had been such an event then.

Lets hope the weather is good again next year!!!!!

  549. No I did not enjoy Croxfest. I live in Manor Way just south of Little Green School grounds. This year there was no wind so wind can not be considered the culprit for me being able to hear the noise inside my house. There was no way I could consider doing anything in my garden: the noise was so loud. At the beginning noise was not too bad but why is it always increased as the day progresses? It became FAR TOO LOUD for comfort in my Manor Way house. I retreated into a room on the north side of the house and put Classic FM on the radio. That helped. Why does so much of Croxley have to hear Croxfest when they do not want to do so? Please direct the noise to the ground where people who want to hear it are sitting on the Green, not over their heads so others have to hear it.

  550. Well I thoroughly enjoyed Croxfest and it certainly appeared so did everyone else. We are very lucky to be part of a fantastic community event. All ages coming together to form friendships and community spirit. It is regretful you always get one person moaning rather than getting pleasure seeing the majority of people enjoying themselves. I do hope Classic FM wasn’t to loud as to annoy the neighbours in Manor Way. Anyway long may Croxfest continue to unite the community.

  551. A wonderful day out, yet again, for the whole family. It really is one of the highlights of the year locally and brings so much enjoyment to so many people. The residents of Croxley Green are so lucky to have an event like it. 2 day event next year please!

  552. Another fantastic Croxfest!! Such a well-run amazingly free community event! Well done to the team of volunteers for all their hard work putting it all together – can’t wait to rock again in 2018! Xx

  553. Another great day, we were blessed with good weather which helps alot. The Police presence was appropriately low key but I noticed they quietly dealt with a couple of situations, well done. The choice of bands was good and the running order was spot on, working up into good time music that got the crowd going, especially the last three acts. Leave them wanting more, that’s the way to do it!

  554. What a fantastic day we had at the croxfest.
It was a unique event, which was family friendly at the same time nearer the stage it had a cool edgy old Skool feel to it.
The fact that it finishes at 8pm gives it a unique all day feel.
    Can’t wait for next years!

  555. Great day as ever. Great that you give a chance to the younger bands and they never let you down. Very enjoyable event with friends and family, good music, good company in a very relaxed atmosphere. The organisation is amazing. Thanks to all the volunteers and organisers. Long live Croxfest!

  556. We had a great day, the bands were fab, lovely atmosphere and of course the weather held which helped! Well done and thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of this amazing community event.

  557. We were there from 2 – 7.30, watched some great bands! The kids and my mum enjoyed it too, thanks for lending her a chair! If it’s possible, it was even better than last year!

  558. Thank you so much to everyone behind this amazing event. All of the crew were really chilled and nice to us on the day. Playing at Croxfest was one of our most unforgettable experiences of our lives and we loved every moment we were on stage. It was great to see so many people there, thank you for the overwhelming support. Long live Croxfest.

  559. Brilliant afternoon, great bands, great sound great staff, plenty of food, plenty of bins, well organised parking and all for free, what’s not to like. I came last year for the first time and New Device were my favourite, I’ve subsequently bought 3 of their albums. Overall I thought the bands were better this year than last, well done all involved, see you next year.

  560. Croxfest 2018 was a fantastic event. Something like that does not come together without a great deal of effort behind the scenes. It was extremely well organised and well run. A good variety of food and activities were available and a variety of music styles too. The volunteers all deserve immense credit. The stage crew were magnificent – utterly professional and incredibly helpful. It was a magical experience – and a great honour – to play for the enormous crowd. We absolutely loved it. A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in making the eighth year of Croxfest such a stand-out success. You guys are total heroes.

  561. What an amazing day, thank you for everyone who put so much effort into organising what was a fantastic day.
It’s lovely to see everyone come together, all ages and celebrate the local talent.
The event was a lovely event in which I could take my children, my mum and friends to and spend the day all together.
It was a well organised, family friendly, safe environment and the hard work and effort was clearly evident. Thank you Croxfest. Here’s to 2019!!!

  562. Whilst I appreciate money has to be made to cover costs, the amount charged for small local businesses was astronomical.
Although my food stall wasn’t wanted (such a shame as it would have made a great alternative to greasy chips and lots of sweets) I couldn’t have afforded it anyway as a small, one person business. This is a huge shame to local, community businesses that Croxfest could really support.
Same with duplicating face painting etc. These people have these stalls as a business, it’s their livelihood but allowing replications isn’t fair. Whilst it’s not bad for the consumer, these businesses need to know in advance to be able to make a decision.
Otherwise it is a fab day out for family and friends (when the weather is good!) and I can only see it getting bigger (with proper management).

  563. It was our first ever festival (aged 65 & 76) and we will certainly be back next year. The music was great as was the atmosphere. Great day all round. Thank you all who organised this and participated.

  564. Within minutes of arriving my 3 year old had run off, without a phone number wrist band. I informed a young man with a collection bucket, near the bouncy castle, who ensured that the wristband tent knew. Luckily my son saw a marked vehicle and told them he was lost, St John’s, and they were amazing, thank you. Everyone was amazing. Sometime later a Police man approached me to check I was his mother, as they had not been informed and told me that there was no way of them being informed unless I told the Police. I didn’t mind being asked as it gave me confidence that my son was being looked for and looked after. A very positive outcome to a stressful situation. Could I just constructively suggest that all agencies have a reporting system so the search stops appropriately and resources aren’t wasted.

A wrist band was put on as soon as we were reunited, as I wasn’t aware of it before, and going forward it will be the first thing I do in the future!

Thank you for a wonderful event.

  565. Another great day had at Croxfest. The band’s were great. Varied and talented. Thanks to all the wonderful organisers who spend so much time making this a fab community event. Loads if stalls and food places with something for everyone.

  566. I must have missed the greasy chips, I was too busy tucking in to the Caribbean food, I noticed the wood fired pizza, noodles, and German sausages too-such a varied selection of food at a relatively small festival. Well done

  567. We had a wonderful time. Love how it appeals to people of all ages and fosters a genuine community spirit. The range of food stalls was excellent, there were activities for kids and such a relaxed atmosphere. Really enjoyed the music and even had a little boogie. Thank you to everyone involved. Looking forward to next year already.

  568. Fab festival. Great range of bands and well spaced apart. Loved Codename Colin. Really lovely lively atmosphere.
Good amount of bins and recycling.
More veggie friendly stalls would be great.
Impressed with the efforts to tackle litter BUT incredibly disappointed and annoyed to see the silly string on sale which ended up covering so much of the floor!! This is plastic string which is then going to stay in the environment and should never have been allowed to be on sale as there was no way all of it was picked up. Please ban next year.

  569. Another great festival. Amazing bands, great stalls, great atmosphere. Thank you so much to the organisers. See you next year!!

  570. Our party of four throughly enjoyed the Festival, the bands were amazing, didn’t realise we had so much local talent ! Everyone attending was all on good form with no trouble whatsoever and there was plenty of stalls to purchase food from. All the crew did an amazing job. A must go to event; roll on next year

  571. My 2nd year at this excellent community event. I come from outside the area (Pinner), but am thankfull to see some great bands of a great diversity. Happy to contribute to a great occasion but disappointed there wouldn’t really be a way to enforce this as I feel just a couple of pounds from everyone would make a massive difference. Keep up the good work and thankyou!!

  572. Yet another fantastic time, Bands brilliant ! Can’t we end a bit later as it’s over too soon! Thank you to the organisers for putting this wonderful event on for us , we are very lucky to live here , can’t wait for next year xx

  573. Absolutely brilliant day as always, really well organised, great atmosphere and fantastic music. Thank you to everyone involved.

  574. Thoroughly enjoyable day out. Sound quality was exceptional, with a strong line-up of bands. I would – and have – recommended it to anyone. A very well run fun event. Roll on next year.

  575. This was the first time my dad and I attended Croxfest and it was absolutely phenomenal! I’m not particularly one for events like this, but this time I thought ‘why not?’ We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, enjoying the bands, chilling out and (in my dad’s case) taking really fantastic pictures of the bands.

From what I saw it was incredibly well organised, with stalls, marquees and even first aid that were definitely well advertised to the attendees. All the food stalls had classic delicious funfair food too!

The bands themselves were absolutely amazing, I honestly loved all of their unique music and style- I may also have new favourite bands to follow as well! I’d love to see them back next year 🙂

  576. Enjoyed it immensely. Was this the busiest year so far? It was absolutely rammed at one point! Cracking time, great bands choice, brilliant event and seamlessly organised. Well done organisers, you put in a fantastic event and now deserve a big rest.

Only one thing I’d like improved is the toilet facilities. Simply not enough for the size of crowd that Croxfest now attracts. You need more than one disabled toilet and far more ladies toilets. Later on in the evening the disabled toilet was closed. Where do disabled people go for the toilet when they can’t use the general toilets?

  577. A great event. Superb organisation and very good quality of bands. Once again we had a great day with family and friends.

  578. Amazing day as always! Great atmosphere, well organised and always ends with a band to leave you on a high! Big thank you to the organisers for all your hard work to make it such a great day for everyone! ☀️

It would be nice if people in the Gazebo area were more mindful and considerate to other festival goers but NOT putting backs on them blocking others views. Thank you

  579. The best day of the year, we love the event and its in the diary as soon as the date is released.
Its so lovely to see so many friends and families come together in the green and enjoy the day.
Its so very well organised and always such an enjoyable day.
Thank you so much to everyone for all their hard work and commitment to make it so special.
    Here’s to Croxfest 2020!!

  580. Fantastic event, first time attending. Our group was a 7 month old, two 30 odd year olds and two grandparents (from Lincolnshire), we all had a fabulous time and can’t wait to go next year when we’ll be prepared (and old enough) to stay for the whole event and will be inviting an even bigger group. Our first annual tradition has begun, thank you!

  581. We arrived at 5, it was very busy, which was good, the selection of food was poor but we did sit and eat. Whilst we sat we noticed that there was a tent and 2 gazebos erected in the middle of the site blocking the view of all behind maybe the should have been directed to the side. There were predominantly lots of family’s having a wonderful time but the music didn’t reflect that, we sat and ate our good at 5 and there was a heavy rock/metal? group on then some music and then again another heavy rick/metal band? Ed got fed up and left. Maybe you should look at your audience and book bands accordingly. It’s such a great event but the Kufic was rubbish, in my opinion

  582. Had a fantastic time as usual. Thanks for putting on this great event every year for us all to enjoy. Well Done for your hard work & a massive THANK YOU

  583. Fantastic Day… Thank you so much Croxfest.
Such an awesome local event. Keeping it free, local and fun. Well Done to the whole team

  584. Another great day out on our village green! Once again you’ve cracked it, looking forward to the 10th anniversary next year.

  585. Another fantastic event, well done and thank you so very much for all of your very hard work, I’m sure it is so much appreciated by all who attended, but, I’m sorry there is a but, can we please not have any dogs, even though they’re on leads. Is it not only unfair on the dogs due to the volume of people, believe or not there are quite a few people who do not like them!!

  586. Fantastic day on the Saturday nothing to complain about hope you manage to keep thus great festival going.

I know it’s a long shot but I lost my grasses there. Is there a lost and found department? I’d be happy to pick them up if there is. I’d be grateful if I could get them back.

  587. Had amazing day. Really well run and lots to do. Thank you to all the volunteers who name it happen. Let’s hope it happens again next year.

  588. A fantastic one day free community music festival for all the family. Incredibly professionally organised buy its volunteers with everyone including the bands and artists working for free. I hope that it generates more volunteers to help put it on next year as well as enough funding so it can continue to be a very real and amazing event in Croxleys calendar!

  589. Absolutely brilliant. Indie Choir were great (but I’m biased as I’m a member) and Electric Umbrella were SUPERB – really hope both are back next year!

  590. Had a great time performing with In The Forest. The backstage crew and set up was great, we were very well looked after which is not always so. Very impressed by the manner in which the electrical fault was handled. Great crowd really made us feel welcome, hope we can play again another year

  591. Great fun. Well organised event. Excellent mix of artists, and local too. Good variety of food options not too expensive.
Lack of wristbands for performers was bad. Beer & crisps selection for performers good

  592. It was a nice, compact festival with a pleasant atmosphere. Would have been nice to have a bar (even just cans in a large container of ice). And shelter for rain as the festival kind of emptied when it rained, although it did fill up again later.

  593. The whole day was excellent – thoroughly enjoyed all of it (even the rain didn’t dampen our spirits, and we dried off anyway!) If I had to pick a high point, it must be Swan Vesta Social Club. Their salsa-based rendition of Gary Numan’s Cars was amazing. Loved it!

  594. Indie Choir loved being at Croxfest, we were well looked after and the whole backstage side of things was excellently organised. As for the set: big stage, clear sound, cool lighting, appreciative audience – loved it all. One highlight was our conga for the Swan Vesta Social Club!

After, we stayed and ate at the food trucks, hid from the rain under trees and gazebos, and listened to and danced to the music. People kept on coming in all day, it looked like a huge success.

Looking forward to next year already

  595. Hard to choose a favourite band as I enjoyed them all, but I would probably have to say Delorean for their great set list and the fantastic response they got from the crowd. It was a great day – very well run especially given the heavy rain early on and the consequent power cut, plus the medical issue. It was wonderful to have Croxfest back after its enforced break, and here’s hoping it goes ahead next year.

  596. Really excellent day all round! But my highlight was definitely Delorean – really great set and the crowd was so up for it – the atmosphere was like a big stadium concert!! I’m now a converted fan!

  597. Had to leave before last 3 acts but loved Swan Vesta Social Club. Really joyful music and they got people dancing. It’s such a fabulous community event. We even stayed during the rain as we brought our golfing umbrellas. It’s great to see all ages at an event like this.

  598. I love Croxfest. It is a great community event. The final band this year were amazing. A great choice. The penultimate band should have been on earlier in the day because their music was unusual and didn’t get people up and dancing. Croxfest forever! Please keep it going. And bring back Rock Remedy!

  599. Loved it and so glad it’s back! I went for a couple of hours with my kids, loved indie choir, good selection of rides for kids etc. Went home when it poured down as not prepared but then got changed and came back for food and a few more rides and bands. Think food stall selection could be better e.g. funky elephant or some more international cuisine like at Ricky festival (appreciate that’s bigger though). Queue for face painting was too long so didn’t bother. Kids love the sweet bus. Extremely well organised (parked ok etc) and helpful cheery volunteers. Thank you!!

  600. We had great time at an incredibly sunny Croxfest 2023! Family friendly atmosphere and so well organised. Plenty of catering stalls on site – we bought food from two of them – Mush & Mooch (toasted cheese sandwiches) and Well Nice (fried Halloumi, chips and mushy peas!) both were excellent. Also visited the Sweet Bus for some treats. Well done everyone involved & hope to see another take place next year.

  601. Yet another brilliant Croxfest! Well done to all the volunteers who put the festival on and to all the bands that play for free too. It really is THE event that makes Croxley feel a community to be proud of.

  602. An absolutely brilliant free family friendly event. Just gets better every year. Incredibly professional set up and a great range of acts on stage. I’ve heard most bands ask to come back year after year so they’re definitely doing something right! Well done Croxfest!

  603. Fantastic event for all ages. Put on by a wonderful group of volunteers. Thank you to all involved. Let’s hope everyone who went donated something, so this event can go ahead next year x

  604. Croxfest continues to be fantastic! I thank my old school friend for telling me about it. I’ve only missed one year, not including Covid

  605. Fantastic event and once again blessed by gorgeous weather. The success of Croxfest is a testament to the hard work of the organisers and volunteers. Well done everyone and long may Croxfest continue!

  606. Another fantastic Croxfest! Every year it just gets better and better! Loved the diverse music choices, great bands – very professional with excellent sound quality. The atmosphere was brilliant with loads of families coming along with a picnic to enjoy this great community event. Hats off as always to the amazing team who work so hard to put on the incredible event every year. I hope you got lots of donations and offers of help to put on Croxfest 2025! Thank you!

  607. This is a highlight of the year and is always a great day. This year lived up to expectations.
An excellent variety of music for everyone to enjoy. A real family day out so hats off to the organisers who make sure this is a truly wonderful day. It takes a huge amount of work to put together an event like this from picking the bands, food trucks and other stalls to clearing the site the next day. We would not have such a brilliant event without those behind the scenes.
The date for next year is already in the diary

  608. Thank you to everyone involved in putting Croxfest on, it was great! Unfortunately we could only stay for the first couple of hours this year but as usual food trucks great. Improvements – less sweary please, bands a bit heavy for 1pm/2pm on Sat arvo with the kids 🙂

  609. Absolutely fantastic. There was a young band on in the afternoon, i think they were called blackridge. Anyway they should headline next time. The event was so relaxing and well organised. I would come again next year.

  610. Brilliant mini festival…loved it! Favourite bands were Velour Fog, Black Ridge and Poleroidz!! Sound from the stage was great, enjoyed the food and drink, and will be back next year.

  611. Fantastic event! Bands were great, sound was great and we loved wandering round all the stalls.
So pleased to have this on our green each year – it really makes living in Croxley special. Thanks to all
Organisers and volunteers it takes a huge effort to make sure the event is safe and well organised, for all of the community to enjoy. See you next year!

  612. Had a great time volunteering over the three days and the music was great, particularly liked velour fog and the poloroidz
Don’t let the “nimbys” moaning over nothing lets make croxfest 2025 happen!

  613. I live in Croxley and had absolutely no idea this was happening. Do you not advertise? I would have gone if I knew it was happening

  614. Attend on & off when we can !
We’d definitely like to see the Croxfest go ahead for years to come. All the bands are superb & well worth watching. Two of our group were crew, biased, but all very professional. There never appears to be any trouble. It’s a very well organised family day out being very enjoyable.
Even if it became a ticketed event, we’d still attend.

  615. Our family love going every year. Great work by everyone organising this.
Enjoyed the bands and the family friendly atmosphere, once again. Thanks

  616. Thought stage / Lights / Sound were all great.
We only arrived around 17:00 and were very happy with the bands from that time onwards.
